Mick. SECRETARY’S REPORT
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AT COORPAROO RSL
NOTHING THIS MONTH
Stay Safe & Be Careful
CLUB FEES WILL FALL DUE FROM NEXT MONTH.
All club members did such a great job of getting in and paying
their club renewals before the end of last year. Let’s see if we can
do a club best and have all fees paid by September, when a late
fee price starts. Our Membership Officer David Roads has done a
terrific job in the 12 months plus he is very approachable if you
have a problem. David is always willing to help
SIV’s/ CLUB REGISTRION REGULATIONS DUE
TO COVID-19 CORONA VIRUS
At this stage all car club mobile activities are cancelled in line with the guidelines set by Government on Covid-19 Corona Virus for social gatherings.
As a result, members would find it difficult to find any listed event to attend with their vehicles during this difficult, unprecedented and restrictive times. The Falcon GT Owner's Club should suspend all events which means that events previously published and or promoted are no longer happening so no travel of a SIVS registered vehicle is permitted under these terms.
ALL FALCON GT CLUB RUNS ARE CANCELLED AS PER NEWSLETTER
SIVS registered vehicles are permitted to drive within a 150 kilometer radius of the home and or garage workshop address for the purpose of vehicle maintenance.
Mechanical workshops and or mechanics or other persons who perform mechanical work are currently considered 'essential services'. Therefore, members may drive their vehicle to the location to have work performed provided they maintain social distancing guidelines with regards to the number of people in one place. There is no distance restriction for the purpose of driving a SIVS registered vehicle to a place for mechanical repair provided that the owner can substantiate the reason for the travel. ie a Ford carburetor specialist etc.
There have been no guidelines issued by TMR in relation to the current situation. As the announcements on Government restrictions and COVID 19 social distancing are made to the public the message is simply that they want people to stay at home and isolate unless necessity for food, welfare and employment gives reason to be away from home.
PLEASE NOTE: With fewer general vehicles on the road at present and the cancellation of all social events an historic vehicle will stand out more to law enforcement officers who may choose to intercept the vehicle and request proof of the reason for travel in a SIVS/ Club registered vehicle at the time.
POLICE WILL BE ON THE LOOK OUT, SO TAKE NOTICE OF THIS NOTIFICATION.
You may be lucky if you get court & just get a warning or you could get a real “A-hole” &
throw the book at you.
Present indications are positive that the social distancing restrictions are working towards slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus but the peak is still not here so people need to maintain patience and vigilance for the time being until this virus is under control and only then can events resume but present indications are that this may be some months away.
Hope this clarifies things for you

THE ORDERS FOR THE NEW
CLUB JACKETS HAS NOW
CLOSED AND SHOULD BE ON
THERE WAY TO YOU. We did not want to leave the orders open any longer
due to the way things were at the time. If you
wanted a jacket you have missed out, as members
we given enough time to decide if they wanted one
and to get your order into Wally. If you still would like a jacket, then you will
need to contact Wally and leave your details and sizes with him. Unfortunately,
you will have to wait until we have the number to be able to place another order.
You were given enough time to make up your mind and place an order.
Rest In Peace John Wynne
Our thoughts are with John’s family and friends as
they mourn his passing
John was highly respected in the motor sport industry, with his passion for race cars and Fords. John was instrumental in Fords racing success between 1969-1973 with the "works" Falcon GTHOs and instrumental in the Phase 4 program.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP SOCIAL DISTANCING
IN MIND AT ALL TIME
RUNS & EVENTS:
Hi All, as you will notice I have remove CANCELLED from most of your local areas regular
event meets, but please check with them to make sure they are up and running. Due to
number restriction being raised and more people are allowed to attend café’s or meets and/ or
runs, but please remember social distancing, also some may still not be up and running as
yet.
CLUB JACKETS:
The new club jackets have arrived, if you have ordered a jacket please contact Wally to
organise collection, or if you would like it posted then you will need to let him know and
arrange and pay postage. Wally’s contact details in front of newsletter.
REQUEST:
With the lifting of some of our restrictions and with us being able to now go out for a run in
our cars. If you know of any events that are now open or car meets or swaps PLEASE let me
know so that I can add then to newsletter or even Facebook.
VALLA:
Hunter Valley have said that Valla will not be run as it usually is. Hopefully Qld borders will
have opened so that we will be able to attend but there will be NO Show & shine at RSL and
there will be NO merchandise organised by them (HV). So, Valla this year will be just one
big catch up if you choose to attend. If you are NOT intending to go then remember to
contact the park and carry your booking over to 2021.
HERVEY BAY WEEKEND:
For those booked for the May long weekend, which is now going to be for some Friday 2nd
or the rest Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th October. This is only going to be an ordinary catch up,
unless further restrictions are lifted. As by then there may be some sort of car event on, the
Maryborough Swap will be on that week end at the show grounds or you may choose to go
Whale watching. As these beautiful creatures will still be around in the Bay then.
ALL FORD DAY 2020
As for this year’s All Ford Day, unfortunately we are still hanging in there and waiting for an
outcome from Willowbank. As we have a large number of entrants and spectators plus
Willowbank employees, the event numbers are above 4,500. Due to number restrictions from
Covid -19 this may be an issue, as it will be hard to restrict numbers for the event. So, fingers
crossed this improve a bit more.

Mackay group Covid breakout run to Midge Point Tavern June
We’d waited a long time to break out of isolation and to burn up some of our stale fuel and
this was the day. We all woke up to one of the lousiest mornings in quite a while, but
undaunted, we all ventured forth onto our wet, cold and slippery roads. We all bunched up at
Coningsby and when all 13 cars had gathered, off we went to our 11.30 lunch date. We had
to be there dead on time as the Tavern needed to serve 2 lunch sittings, ours at 11.30 and the
next at 1.00 pm. The run up was uneventful but pretty wet (the last time we went there it
poured so much that we had to drive well under the speed limit at times, that was hard). We
arrived well before time and milled around for a while doing the usual thing.
We had been told that we could only have 20 people inside but the overflow could be served
out in the beer garden so we’d been drawing straws to decide who that would be, but by
some miracle, the publican found that we could have 3 tables of 8 inside (we cheated and sat
9 at one table)
As usual, the pub gave us a good feed, there were no complaints. Andrea won our main raffle
prize and we shared a few minor prizes. Now let’s go home and clean our cars.
In attendance were:
Tony & Michelle – Phase 2 Aiden & Mikaela – with Tony & Michelle
Shakey & Val – 74 Surferoo shagging waggin Jacques & Elsie – FG GT Black Edition
Alan & Simon - XE ESP Andy & Brett – XY Replica GT
Brad & Christine – 5th Anniversary FG Shane & Barbie – FGX G6ET
Mick & Vicki – XW GS Fairmont Barry & Carol – XY GT
Brian & Andrea – XY GT Rod – XW GS ute
Brett & Garry – XB ute

Until next time, Happy Motoring

The "Handy-Woman"
A blonde, wanting to earn some extra money, decided to hire herself out as a "handy-
woman" and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood. She went to the front
door of the first house, and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do. "Well, I
guess I could use somebody to paint my porch," he said, how much will you charge me?"
The blonde quickly responded, "How about $50.00?" The man agreed and told her that the
paint and everything she would need was in the garage.
The man's wife, hearing the conversation, said to her husband, "Does she realize that our
porch goes all the way around the house?
He responded, "That's a bit cynical, isn't it?"
The wife replied, "You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those dumb blonde jokes
we've been getting by email lately."
A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money. "You're finished
already?" the husband asked.
"Yes," the blonde replied, "and I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats." Impressed, the
man reached into his pocket for the $50 and handed it to her. "And by the way," the blonde
added, "it's not a Porch, it's a Lexus."

North or South coast to inspect. Ph: Paul 0411281205
