Charge1. Establishment of boundaries for Cottonwood Creek School, scheduled to open in the fall of 2018.
2. A review and potential adjustment of the established boundaries for Fallon and Wells middle schools.
3. A review and potential adjustment of the established boundaries for existing west schools including Dublin Elementary, Frederiksen, and Murray.
Committee TaskWith this background in mind, the charge to the committee is twofold: 1. Develop recommendations on boundary changes to address growth in the district. 2. Develop a communication plan to parents: process, timeline, input sessions, recommendations
Assumptions/Criteria
● Safety of students is essential
● Siblings should be kept together whenever possible
● Natural street boundaries should be used where possible
● Driving distance should be a consideration where possible.
● Capacities be reviewed
● A “Neighborhood School” concept should be a consideration where possible
● Changes should be “grandfathered” where possible
● The boundaries should be flexible with a focus on the next 3 years
