    Community Report

  • Dear Friend,

What a transformative year we have had! This year we said goodbye to longtime CEO Erin Slater and welcomed Tracy Elliott as the new, yet very experienced, leader of our organization. The Board completed the strategic plan which defined an aggressive goal to reach more kids—serving 5,000 kids across the country by 2020. We’re proud of and excited about this vision, but we know that it will take a lot of hard work to meet it. We won’t be able to do this without your help and support. Thank you for all that you’ve done to get us to this point, and we hope that you’ll stand beside us through the next part of our journey.

    Sincerely,Shelley Hunter

Chair, College Mentors for Kids ®Board of Directors

“[College Mentors] really did make me a better person, and afterwards really made me grow up. It set me on what I think was a right path once I got into middle school and as far as high school. I have accomplished so much in the past few years and done so much that I really couldn’t say would have happened if all of you guys hadn’t been there for me to lead me on a good path.”
