Queen Margaret's Students Collaborate with Artists to Create Mural What the Salmon Say A team of 45 young artists from Queen Margaret's School and 13 adult artists from Duncancombined forces to create a public mural which promotes the understanding of localecosystems from a First Nations perspective while beautifying a main corridor in the Cityof Duncan.The 64' x 4' mural includes renderings of salmon styled after traditional Pacific NorthwestCoast art and will be situated across from Joe's Tire Hospital in Duncan. New Funding Available for the Get Youth Working Program ‐ Deadline June 30Funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada‐British Columbia Job Fund, Get Youth Working offersemployers a $2,800 wage subsidy to hire and train eligible youth 15 to 29 years of age. The funding helps BC Youthimprove existing skills and gain new ones through practical experience and on‐the‐job‐training. Under the currentprogram funding stream, funding is still available but applications can only be accepted until June 30th, 2016. No complicated paperwork! Employers conduct their own recruiting and can apply anytime during recruiting for thefunding. The approval process is quick and easy.
