ReSHEALience-760824 (NMBP). Study of the real durability under micro-cracked State in aggresive env.

It’s proving to be a very good tool.

Rationale: Make use of this resilient, durable and affordable infrastructurefor open water farming and towards

    other BG sectors.

  • 8 modules (long-termproposal), 5 countries, 3 EU-basins

    Core demonstration activity

  • Specific objectives-related activities

  • A A long-line produces ≈ 12 kg/m2: modules up to 50 kg/m2. This has a major impact in the areas currently exploited with long-line + unexploited areas.

B Reduction of operational costs using the modules may imply ↑ profit for farmers between 10% and 25% depending on the region.

C The modules will end with loss of harvest due to predatory. This will activate investments for some high-value shellfish products in Mediterranean.

D Increase of the open waters farming in North+Baltic sea, boosting productivity + reducing eutrophication. ↑ social awareness as environm measure.

E Modules will activate new business models: Cooperative share for micro-business, agro-tourism, sea-gardens or blue restaurants of fresh shellfish.

F Increase of the number of farmers using standardized, CE-marked tool with for shellfish farming.

G Increase of production + quality will imply a higher access of society to sustainable protein-rich food from EU with affordable prices+locally farmed.

H Faster progress of blue economy (mainly ocean energy, desalinization and aquaponics), thanks to the learning in versatile modules for open waters.

I Increase of maritime surveillance and removal of obstacles for navigation (long-lines), which distribution is not always planned.

    Expected impacts
