Introduction
Italian food turns gourmet the minute you add garlic breadsticks. They are not hard and add a great touch to any meal. For any dish that doesnt seem to need breadsticks try diner rolls. Homemade dinner rolls will complete a meal and make you a homemaking star! This is the first follow up to the How to Make Homemade Bread. This book does not have the recipe or instructions to make bread. If you dont already have it you will need to get it. Or if you have a bead recipe you already like that will work too. The recipe we use makes 3 loves and that is what this is based on.
We are not afraid to use butter around here. It is homemade from fresh milk. You can learn to make butter in my Creatively Simple - How to Make Butter in the Blender ebook.
Please read through the entire book before starting.

Garlic Breadsticks
This is what our breadsticks will be looking like as we make
them. We will be using a batch of homemade bread dough
that has risen once and been punched down. First we use a
very well seasoned cookie sheet, ours look used because
they are. Beware of anyone teaching you whose tools look
like they have never been used . Use the half stick of
butter and rub on the pan, coating it thickly.
7
Grab a handful of dough about the size of an orange and
make a long slender worm out of it. It should be about as
long as your pan is wide. Lay it sideways on the pan. Then
make another and lay is right next to it.
8
9
Then carefully lay one end over the other and repeat.
10
Repeat until you get to the end and then press together.
11
Continue this process until you have done as many as you
want. They will rise more so dont put too close together.
Next is the garlic mix. If you are using a whole batch of
bread dough you will need 2 whole cloves of garlic diced and
2 sticks of butter melted. Mix together. Then spoon over the
breadsticks.
12
13
This is what they will look like. Then we put them in the
oven with the light on to rise. Let them rise for 30 minutes.
14
After they have risen bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
15
These are incredible tasting!

Dinner Rolls
For dinner rolls we will also be starting with bread dough
that has risen once and been punched down. Again use a
pan that has been well buttered. Grab a handful of dough
that is about the size of an orange and roll into a ball,
handling it as little as possible. The less you handle the
softer your rolls will be. Place them on a pan with room to
spread. Top each with a chunk of butter.
17
Let them rise in the oven with the light on for 30 minutes.
Then bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
18
See if you can take a picture before someone grabs one .

Ideas for variations
We often add an additional half cup of sugar to the bread
recipe when making breadsticks or dinner rolls
You could add alfalfa sprouts to the dough for a healthy
addition
You could add parmesan cheese to the bread dough or on
top
You could add grated cheese of any type to the dough

I pray that you have been blessed. There are more books in
this series and I am open to comments, suggestions AND
ideas for new ones.

Remember Jesus is our Bread of Life. Dont go hungry. Feast
on Him daily.
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
