TOOLS

Hammer

• A tool has heavy metal head attached to a handle• Used for hitting nails, fit parts or break things

apart.• Vary in shape, size and structure which depends

on their purposes

Claw

Hand Saw

• Consisting of a tough blade• Used to cut through hard materials

most often wood and metal• Operated using a backward and

forward movement

Screwdriver

• A tool used for turning screws• Inserts into the screw head

and turn to lock things• Shaft made out of tough steel

to resist bending or twisting

Pliers

• Small pincers with long jaws for bending wire or holding small object

• Also used to cut wire

Tape Measure• A flexible ruler• A long, thin piece of metal that is mark

with units of length (such as inches & centimeters)

• Used for measuring things

EQUIPMENTS

Concrete mixer

• It is a device that used to combine cement, aggregate such as sand or gravel and water to form concrete

• Its small volume design allows the workers to have ample time to use the concrete before it hardens.

Spraying and plastering

equipments

• It is an equipment specially design to speed up the plastering process in compare to the traditional hand float method.

• There’s two type of plastering equipments; one is worm-drive pump and another is piston pump.

Electric hand drill

• An electric hand drill helps the worker to speed up the screwing process and also allows him to have different variable of using different types of screw head/size easily.

•  It can be found in either a portable type or connecting to a power supply type.

Rebar bender

• Its main function is to bend all the straight rebar into the desired shape

• It can be found in two form, manual and in machine.

Wood Saw

• It is commonly used to saw large pieces of wood into smaller desired size and shape.

• Most of the time the wood sawed are for the purpose of forming a formwork model for all the elements such as beam and column.

MACHINERIES

• Excavator comes in numerous sizes depending on bucket size, length of boom, length of arm, and operation speed.

• Excavators are used for earth digging, loading and dumping trucks, trenching and excavating under water

Excavator

Loader :• to cover up dirt when filling in

trench lines• to pick up and carry large amounts

of loose material

Bucket :• use for grading and scratching off

sand• digging water pipes and sewer

pipes

Backhoe Loader

• bank sloping and ditching• crowning and leveling roads• maintenance of roads and

runways• moving large amounts of

materials laterally by side casting• mixing and spreading materials• snow  removal• scarifying.

Grader

• Use to push large quantities of soil, sand, rubber, or other such material during construction or conversion work

• Typically equipped at the rear with a claw-like device to loosen densely compacted materials

Bulldozer

Moving earth over short distances (up to about two miles) over relatively smooth areas

Scraper
