Introduction
The WTA Hi-tech Fair is a redesigned exhibition of the former ‘WTA Techno-Mart’ in which research
institutes, universities, and high-tech industries from WTA members exhibit their technologies and high-tech
products to foster the technology transfer and commercialization. This is but another track of WTA activities
working toward promoting the technology business among WTA members. Increasing global challenges, such as
intensified economic globalization, the rise of new global players and the provision of global public goods, solidify
the need for a new approach in entrepreneurship.

Daily Schedule (12-16 OCTOBER 2009)
Main Topic Technology Convergence : Hi-technologies towards Green Growth
In an industry where technology is constantly changing at a rapid rate, it becomesmore challenging to stay in tune with the latest technology. As industry leaders, it isvital that we share our ideas and perspective with peers and colleagues.
Why should we present the convergence of high-technologies?
An important purpose of the technology convergence is to emphasize technologyand the potential for technology transfer. In particular, this will contribute to a collaborative research in theapplication of the latest technologies in IT, BT, NT, GT, ET etc. with the objective of commercialization. With thisconsideration in mind, we should share information and knowledge to cope with market need and technologicalchange in a global context.
