The Lack of Promotion to the Innovative minds.
India is the second most populous
nation in the world.
Having such a great ratio of youths
India is a great place for the
innovation.
Thousands of Indian minds having lots
of innovation skills are staving for the
real platform where they can show
their skills to the whole world.
Still India acquires only the 3.5% of all
global research output.
China
• 35th rank in the Global innovation index.
• 11.7% share in the Global R&D output.
• 15 % of world patents filed in 2010.
India
• 66th Rank in Global innovation index.
• 3.5% share in Global R&D output.
• 0.3% of worlds patent filed in 2010
. % of total world’s patents filed by India in year . The participation in the budget for the projects for the researches in
India is 2.9% of total worlds expenditure.
India ranks 66th in the Global Research Output.
No Indian University lies in top 100 Universities of the world.
The Challenges towards the
Promotion of R&D
The poor quality of education & lack of the interest
of parents of the backward areas to send their
wards to technical fields.
Poor infrastructures and funding to the
organizations involved in the work of the Research
and Development.
Poor enforcement and poor design of Intellectual
property Rights (IPR) laws & the bad mechanisms
towards the filing of the patent rights. The issues
like patency, stockpiling needs concern.
Providing the incentives that can encourage one to transport the ideas and innovations from the labs to market in the exposure to the world.
Linkage should be there between the high end companies and the universities and other educational institutions to provide quality knowledge to the students of the technical sectors.
Provide the Scientists and Researchers a good salary and reputation as they do not migrate to the foreign countries.
Stopping the drain of the innovative mind to the countries due to lack of infrastructures.
Focusing over the quality education rather than establishing large number of universities.
Establishing new Join Ventures with different countries for exchange of technologies.
Thanks to CAC and MANTHAN for providing such an opportunity to present our views in front of the nation…
