BLKSMTH Loren Cronk, denim maker and jeans expert, is proud to introduce his custom designed denim collection, BLKSMTH. Cronk has over 18 years focused exclusively on denim apparel. Having worked at big-brand denim companies such as Levi Strauss and Ralph Lauren, his first tastes of the medium of denim, soon became his life’s obsession and love. He also creates his own handmade-one-of-a-kind jeans out of his studio and denim atelier in Brooklyn, NYC. Cronk’s obsession with denim has provided him with a strong foundation in denim design, process and technique. BLKSMTH is a men’s luxury denim collection using only the best premium selvedge fabric from Italy, Japan and US’s own Cone Mills “White Oak” line. The BLKSMTH line features unique details with a sophisticated work-wear flare, including: * Doubled-lined back pockets * Old fashion copper rivets * A double side seam and an extra skinny waistband * All at a lower price point versus other selvedge jeans currently in market. Top US stores holding BLKSMTH include Ron Herman on Melrose in Los Angeles; AP.Fits, San Francisco; Blake, in Portland; E-Street Denim, Chicago; Oak in NYC; Standard, in Kansas City; General Store, in Toronto;

Internationally, Selfridge’s and Liberty’s in the UK.

Swedish brand WHYRED had the idea to develop a distinctively personal elaboration of mod culture’s street-smart elegance. We understand Modism as "clean dressing under diff icult circumstances"...a paraphrase of Peter Meaden’s famous quote ”clean l iving under diff icult circumstances”. WHYRED is about raising aesthetic awareness and creating new expressions. The name came from chief designer Roland Hjort’s grandfather, the prominent Swedish artist Sven ”X” Erixon...when asked his favourite colour in a radio interview in the early 1950's, Sven answered, ”Red”. "Why red?”, the interviewer retorted. Known for his r ich palette of colours Sven dryly quipped, ”Well, blue then”. Taking great tailoring, contemporary music, and the art world as its point of departure, WHYRED has earned the epithet "the Indie super label”. Authentic and visionary, WHYRED appeals to the confident and adventurous consumer. WHYRED’s ambition is to create intell igent luxury: elegant garments with a casual luxurious feel, as opposed to the brash and the vulgar. Clothes should, simply put, assert those personal traits that the wearer l ikes best. Thus, every WHYRED garment is about establishing the precarious balance between identity and look…individual as it is from person to person.

The art and music world is a key to understanding WHYRED. Collaborations with contemporary artists and musicians stress the importance of our legacy while strengthening the WHYRED brand identity. The occasional nod to the Beatniks and mod culture serves the purpose of asserting our influences in order to reinvent the WHYRED look and style. We visit the past not to repeat it but to explore paths not taken.

With it’s English rock and roll image, exclusive fabrications, and totally MADE in ITALY, the new season “GIRLS WILL BE BOYS” collection has everything a girl needs.

Superfine Woman this season has an empowered androgynous theme. Having always loved the “girls in their boyfriend clothes” look, designer Lucy Pinter played with the idea that we are all the same, no distinctions, using a “biker” story and a small “tailoring” section to illustrate this concept.

While the idea is tough, the colour palette is muted and soft. A “smudged” mix of dirty pinks, green grey, greys, taupe and vanilla with the usual strong black thrown in. While being unmistakably feminine and light, the dirty washes in these tones make certain we keep it rock n roll.

The jersey and silk sections are chic, though wearable. Alternate heels with flip flops to completely change the look from day to evening creating fantastic wardrobe staples. All classic tees and tops are in luxe soft fabrics and desirable colours.

The “Slink” fabric with cashmere mix is a best bet for “dressing up” basics and the “suiting” section, while small, is key for design. Strong and clean with an edge.

The Suede section completes the look, perfect for mix and match.

The sweat section is slightly more laid back, but add heels to the “Downtime” pants or the “Shoot” shorts and these too can make it to evening should you wish. The “Lyric” jacket is fast becoming a Superfine classic and is available not only in sweat but in our exclusive “Slide” fabric giving various colour options.

Top pick for jackets this season is the “Hero” blazer, in two fabric options, suiting or suede.

Isis, the matron of nature and magic, a friend of sinners

and slaves, muse to MiniMarket 2012.

The inspiration is shown through a mix of myth, fairytale, and truth from Egypt’s prehistoric age. Classic stories and characters contribute to the collection…”One Thousand and One Nights”, ”Aladdin”, ”Cleopatra” and ”Nefertiti, as well as the 70`s wonder woman comic hero ”Mighty Isis”. The color palette is a mix of dusty and faded colors. Tonal colors such as dusty yellows and whites, faded orange, and washed greens are combined with patterns inspired by Egyptian flora and wall paintings, as well as graphic elements worn by the Egyptian Pharoahs. The theme-print for the collection ”Lotus Garden” is made in oil by artist Olaf Hajek. The materials are thin, airy and see-through: designed to be worn in layers: or, as in Ancient Egypt, bare with only only one thin layer of fabric against the body. These thin materials are combined with more heavy 3D fabrics as the ”3D Leo”: created in 3 layers of suede, for jackets, shoes and accessories. Typical details are the pleats, shown in both clothing and shoes.

Minimarket is based in Stockholm, and designed by sisters Sofie, Jennifer and Pernilla. The collection includes clothes, shoes and accessories. MiniMarket was awarded “best new designer of the year” a number of times by Swedish ELLE Magazine, and has designed a capsule collection for the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm.
