I hope you guys all had a wonderful winter break lled with tons of delicious food, sunny California weather, and time with family and friends. Now that 2014 has started, I look forward to a new year lled with bright and sunny memories of our Key Club family :). This past month was lled with holiday events such as the Holiday Tree Lightings and Holiday Village in addition to the weekly St. I Tutoring. Just a couple days ago over thirty Key Clubbers from Cypress dedicated their entire day to decorate Rose Floats in Pasadena. Even though it was a long-tiring day, we were able to help build the oats to be showcased to millions and help “Dreams Come True.” The build the oats to be showcased to millions and help “Dreams Come True.” The Cypress turnout just keeps getting bigger and bigger so keep up the good work suns! This month we had two dierent drives going on, a clothes drive and cans drive. Every-thing we raised will go to aid those aected by the devastating hurricane in the Philip-pines. Moreover in future events, Orange Coast College would be hosting our January DCM and Conclave on the 25th. I encourage you all to go to the region-wide event where we will be electing our future Lieutenant Governor for the new Key Club year. Another important event coming up is DCON, which is going to be held in Sacramento and hopefully everyone is getting excited and pumped up! December was a month and hopefully everyone is getting excited and pumped up! December was a month where many key clubbers demonstrated their commitment and truly expressed what Key Club is all about.

Happy holidays,Thao NguyenBulletin Editor

On December 21st, Division 30S and 30N were reunited once again at Decmber DCM’s Winter Extravaganza. Beginning with the ocial District Council Meeting, our LTG announced past events, fundraising updates, and clubs of month. Afterwards, we freshened up our chants with our own division for the spirit battle later. Finally, all the hungry rhinos and suns gathered into the cafeteria for the potluck lled with pasta, deserts, and an endless amount of potato chips. After all our tummies werelled with yummy food we began our volunteer services and created Christmas cards for Kiwanians and over a hundred trash bag ponchos for the homeless. Then, each club put their decorated ornamentsand over a hundred trash bag ponchos for the homeless. Then, each club put their decorated ornamentsonto the Key Club Christmas Tree to represent themselves. In support of “Save the Philipines Project,”a best ugly Christmas sweater contest was held and the winner was chosen by who raised the most money.Almost coming to an end, White Elephant was held outside and after everyone got their presents, thespirit battle started with everybody pumped up and determined to win. Luckily, everybody won andwe nally got our deserving spirit stick. 3 - 0 thirty south, shining is what we’re all about!
