Proclamation (by Alexander E. Dilan, Jr., Music Director; copyright 2010. All Rights Reserved)

Open up your doors this year! Let the message ring clear.Counsel those who live in fear. Listen His time is near.

Though your sins weigh heavy on your heart, I am here to forgive.Do as I’ve done: bear things patiently. Listen, my time is near.

Open wide your hands this year, feed the hungry and poor.Clothe the naked, comfort those in pain. Listen, their time is near.

Open wide your hearts this year, as I’ve done for you!Visit sick ones; pray for the dead. Listen, their time is near.

Open up your doors this year, let the message ring clear.Counsel those who live in fear. Listen, proclaim God’s year!!

Dear Father Joe and The Arts and Environments Ministry:

Thank you so much for including Bethesda House in your cornucopia food drive. Your donation of 600 pounds of food was received at a time when our food stock was down to its lowest level this year.

Through October, Bethesda House has distributed 57 tons of food to more than 280 families! Without your support, it would not be possible for us to meet the needs of our clients. Thank you again for your generosity.

Sincerely,Kevin McKenneyProgram Director

Safe Environment TrainingAs Christian adults, we have a moral and legal responsibility and are entrusted by God with the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of minors and vulnerable adults. As they participate in activities within or sponsored by our diocese, it is our commitment to provide an environment which is safe and nurturing.

In accordance with the Diocese of Venice policy to offer Safe Environment Awareness to all volunteers, parishes listed below will hold training sessions. All volunteers who have routine contact with children or vulnerable adults, MUST BE TRAINED in safe environment awareness issues. No one should attend Safe Environment Training until their fingerprints have cleared.

Please contact the parish secretary at the location you wish to attend with your name and telephone number at least two weeks prior to the training. Due to the sensitive nature of this training, no children are permitted to attend.
