Intech have over 30 years experience in the design, manufacture and installation of technical furniture for a wide range of applications.
Based in the North West of England and with over 20,000ft2 of production space, we are able to undertake any size of project, anywhere in the world.
Intech can completely transform any space into a fully functional control centre. From initial concept through to completed project we provide full turnkey fit-out packages including design, installation and project management.
Intech have completed over 4000 projects in the UK and worldwide. They include total control room solutions for Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, Harrods, Ordnance Survey, the State of Qatar, Wembley Stadium, the University of Cambridge and the Imperial War Museum.
All our control rooms are custom designed to fully meet the client’s operational requirements and are compliant with BS EN ISO 11064. By offering a wide range of styles and the highest quality materials we provide staff and operators with a comfortable and productive working environment.
DESIGN SERVICES
Whether your requirement is a single console or a complete control centre, Intech offer a complimentary site survey and design service. This involves the production of design proposals including full 3D visualisations and detailed CAD drawings. For larger projects a virtual walkthrough is also offered. During the initial site survey we conduct an ergonomic assessment of the work area taking into account all DDA, health and safety regulations.

ERGONOMICS & REGULATIONS
All of our control rooms are designed to meet the appropriate ergonomic standards including BS EN ISO 11064 (Ergonomic Design of Control Rooms). We follow guidelines to meet DDA criteria and offer furniture to comply with the needs of disabled users. Intech have also completed numerous full builds of Alarm Receiving Centres compliant with the BS 5979 standard.

The Monobloc’s modular design allows for a free standing console with all the user benefits you’d expect from the ‘Flexi’ range but with the option of concealed vertical cable management. The Monobloc’s innovative design allows Intech to cater for varying customer demands in the ever expanding range of industries in which we work.

CONSOLES
Intech’s furniture is custom designed for each project to ensure it best meets the user’s operational requirements. Both our flagship ‘Flexi’ and new look ‘Monobloc’ ranges have integrated cable management and come with the option of technical base storage. We also offer a wide range of accessories and storage solutions including seating, desktop monitor stacks, power modules, height adjustable scripts, filing systems and equipment cabinets.

As the name suggests, a flexible and stylish console design which can be adapted to any working space or environment. Incorporating technical base storage and optional dropped back design, these desks fulfil all ergonomic criteria. Available as single or multi operator units, the ‘Flexi’ range of furniture will enhance any control room environment.
MONITOR SOLUTIONS
Intech’s total control room solutions incorporate two main styles of monitor arrangements: VES monitor walls and toolbar systems. Both are ergonomically designed for each project ensuring the best use of the space available. Monitor solutions are also available built into consoles. These include desktop stacks, monitor arms and integrated VES systems.

VISUAL ENHANCEMENT SYSTEMS (VES)
Intech offer bespoke monitor walls for all types of display systems. All variations offered have ergonomically designed viewing configurations and come with optional features including integrated storage and IT solutions. Intech offer Visual Enhancement Systems for all monitor arrangements, from a single LCD monitor to multiple units or a large number of rear projection screens.
MONITOR STACKS AND TOOLBARS
Intech’s custom built monitor stacks and toolbars are a space saving innova-tion that can be used to incorporate flat panel monitors into any control room configuration. These flexible products can be installed free standing, wall mounted or built into any of our con-soles or storage systems. All of Intech’s monitor solutions have integrated cable management.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS
All of Intech’s furniture is produced at our purpose built manufacturing facility. Here our technical department use CAD and CAM techniques to prepare the project for installation. The technical team work closely with clients throughout the design and manufacturing stages to ensure that all their specifications are met precisely. Using our CNC capabilities we are able to efficiently turn around projects in 4-6 weeks or less from when you place your order. At Intech we encourage customers to visit our workshop and showroom. This allows them to view the manufacturing process and see some examples of finished items before installation begins. MATERIALS
In line with our ISO 9001 procedures, all of the materials Intech use are of the highest quality for the application. This allows us to offer a 10 year warranty on everything we manufacture. Our consoles and VES monitor walls are typically constructed from fire retardant and moisture resistant MDF with a range of laminate or optional veneer finishes. We also use marmoleum scripts and hardwood or composite edging. Monitor stacks and toolbars are constructed using our aluminium extrusion system.

At Intech we take pride in all that we do, and installation is no different. Our specialist team are experienced and highly capable in everything from small furniture installations to project managing complete control centre fit-outs. With over 30 years in the industry and a wide range of clients, we are capable of completing a huge variety of projects. All our installation team are qualified tradespeople and have ample experience in both modifying existing structures and working with contractors on new build projects. We are able to design, manufacture and install technical furniture to the highest of standards.
