Meditation: The last apostle to meet the resurrected Lord was the first to go with him to Jerusalem at Passover time. The apostle Thomas was a natural pessimist. When Jesus proposed that they visit Lazarus after receiving news of his illness, Thomas said to the disciples: "Let us also go, that we may die with him" (John 11:16). While Thomas deeply loved the Lord, he lacked the courage to stand with Jesus in his passion and crucifixion. After Jesus' death, Thomas made the mistake of withdrawing from the other apostles. He sought loneliness rather than fellowship in his time of trial and adversity. He doubted the women who saw the resurrected Jesus and he doubted his own fellow apostles. When Thomas finally had the courage to rejoin the other apostles, the Lord Jesus made his presence known to him and reassured him that he had indeed overcome death and risen again. When Thomas recognized his Master, he believed and exclaimed that Jesus was truly Lord and truly God! Through the gift of faith we, too, proclaim that Jesus is our personal Lord and our God. He died and rose that we, too, might have new life in him. The Lord offers each of us new life in his Holy Spirit that we may know him personally and walk in this new way of life through the power of his resurrection. Do you believe in the good news of the Gospel and in the power of the Holy Spirit to bring you new life, hope, and joy? Copyright (c) 2016 Servants of the Word,

Divine Mercy Sunday | This weekend is Divine Mercy Sunday. We will be celebrating our new parish with several activities in each of our churches. Prayer cards with a medal are in each pew for parishioners to use during Mass when we recite the prayer together and then to take home. A special proces-sion of the new Sacramental books will take place during the offertory symbolizing our new parish.
Finally, Eucharistic Adoration will take place from 1:00-3:00pm in each church. A sign-up sheet can be found at the back of each church. Please consider signing up for a half hour and join us for this wonderful opportunity!
Wellness Matters From Our Parish Health Nurse, Lisa Bohrer: One in three people can't list any warning signs of stroke, research from the American Stroke Association shows. However, the association added that putting common stroke symptoms into the lyrics of a song could help more people recognize when someone is having a stroke. And that could save lives.
The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association urges people to learn the "F.A.S.T. Song," to help remember how to spot common signs of a brain attack and what to do if one occurs.
If someone has a stroke near you, the F.A.S.T. song tells you what to do.
The letter F stands for face, if one half droops, no time to waste.
The letter A means an arm that's weak.
The letter S means it's hard to speak.
The letter T means it's time to dial 9-1-1. Call right away so help will come. Learn the song to show you care, and help end stroke each time you share.

Box program.
If you are looking for a way to meet new people, have fun, and help others, Sodality could be your answer. Check
us out at Divine Mercy Sodality on Facebook and mark your calendar for our next meeting, June 14th, 6pm, in
