• There are many books speaking about numbers, I’m comfortable using the meanings of this author. He uses 1 to 10 as basic numbers, from 11 to 20 the meaning would be opposite to the previous ten ones.

Number One, 1• Beginning; New; First in: time, rank,
order, importance.• Genesis 1:1. 1 In the beginning God
created the heavens and the earth.• Genesis 1:5. 5 God called the light
Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
Number Two, 2• Divide: Judge, separate, discern.• Genesis 1:6,8 • 6 Then God said, “Let there be a
firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
• 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.
Number Two, 2• 1 Kings 3:25 (NKJV)
• 25 And the king said, “Divide the living child in two, and give half to one, and half to the other.”
Number Three, 3• Conform: Accept, adapt, adjust, copy,
imitate, obey.• Genesis 1:9 (NKJV)• 9 Then God said, “Let the waters under
the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.

predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Number Four, 4• Reign: Rule (over the world); kingdom,
creation, world.• Genesis 1:16 (NKJV)• 16 Then God made two great lights: the
greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
Number Four, 4• Genesis 1:18-19 (NKJV)• 18 and to rule over the day and
over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Number Five 5• Serve: Works, service, servanthood,
slavery, (including debt, sickness, phobias, etc.) taxes, prison, sin, movement.

officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years.

• Genesis 1:23 (NKJV)• 23 So the evening and the morning
were the fifth day.
Number Six, 6• Image: Man, flesh, carnal, idol, form.• Genesis 1:26a; 26 Then God said, “Let Us
make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;

made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Number Six, 6• Revelation 13:18 (NKJV)• 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has
understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
Number Seven, 7• Complete: All, total, finish, rest.• Genesis 2:1-3, 1 Thus the heavens and the
earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
Number Eight, 8• Remove ( As in putting off the old
man. Desires of the Flesh).• Sanctify, manifest, reveal, die,
death; by implication, new beginning. (The result of putting off the old man is a new life or new beginning).
Number Eight, 8• Genesis 17:12 (NKJV)• 12 He who is eight days old among you
shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.

the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they came to the vestibule of the LORD. So they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.
Number Eight, 8• 1 Peter 3:20b-21 • 20 in the days of Noah, while the ark was
being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Number Nine, 9• Harvest: Fruit, fruitful, fruition, joy.
Holy Spirit, His gifts & His Fruits.• Luke 17:17 (NKJV)• 17 So Jesus answered and said,
“Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
Number Ten, 10• Measure (With the purpose to accept or
reject what is being measured): Test, to be proved, temptation.
• Revelation 2:10. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
