Integrate standard SIP Trunks with Skype for Business or Lync
The standard scenario is the expansion of your Skype for Business or Lync system using a UCBox Gateway to Connect standard SIP Trunks to a provider of your choice.
Integrate local SIP devices
The UCBox Gateway SIP can also be used to connect non-Microsoft certified, SIP-enabled devices with SfB or Lync. For example you can connect the following devices via certified UCBox Gateway SIP:■ Standard-SIP telephones■ ATA adapter for fax machines and indoor bells■ Existing SIP-enabled DECT systems■ SIP-enabled door intercoms
Presence display
The UCBox Gateway SIP can be used in conjunction with the FonComfort server presence option to display the pre-sence status for all registered devices in Lync and Skype for Business. This also allows the combination of a parallel ringing DECT phone and SfB/Lync client with simultaneous Busy on Busy regardless of whether a call has been accepted on Skype client or on the DECT phone.
Hybrid topology with Office 365 or hosted Skype for Business
In combination with a local Skype for Business server the SIP gateway can also be integrated with Office 365 or anotherprovider for hosted Skype for Business. So you can use all the benefits of an in-house solution like „real“ emergency calling, customized extensions of Skype for business and lower WAN bandwidth, combined with the safe operation of Skype for Business in the cloud.
