Evaluation 2How does your media group represent particular social groups?

This powerpoint shows the pictures from my video in relation to social media groups linking ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ and our thriller ‘Deceased’. I understand that it may be hard to see the images so I feel this powerpoint makes it easier to show the links between the costumes as the clarity of the images is better. I will also show things I have not mentioned in the video.

The social group of the characters are both the same as they are both 17/18, late teens. They are also male and middle class.

RolesDeceasedOur main character, Jack, leads a life of pain and suffering, being bullied and having the tendency to self harm, the character is suicidal. First seen as a victim, Jack then becomes a psychotic serial killer. His costume stays the same throughout the thriller but make up was changed showing a transformation in the character, dark make up under the eyes and paint to make the character seem paler.

The Amazing SpidermanPeter Parker is played by Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spiderman. Ever since Peter’s parents disappeared 13 years ago, he has struggled to find his purpose in life. Facing a challenge – one that has been created within the labs of Oscorp. Much like Jack Parker is first seen as a victim, but then becomes a vigilante, known as spider-man showing the roles of the characters to change in a positive way, changing his normal teenage clothes to his costume
