constructing this product?

I learnt how to manipulate images using Photoshop, and by looking at the images in the magazine, you can tell this methods has been very effective. I could also plan my pages using Photoshop.

Skills and Techniques Developed From The Preliminary Task to The Main Task

I feel that it is vital to make sure you know who you are directing your magazine toward and who your target audience will be. If this is not clear then that means your magazine is lacking basic conventions and will not be recognised easily as a specific type on genre, and will not attract many people, which will ultimately result in your magazine becoming unsuccessful.

It is also important that you make your main image relevant to your target audience and to the genre of magazine. This will make it look more attractive to the audience and will gain more attention as the target audience will be able to relate to the image, especially in the case of my magazine where the model in the main image is around the same age as the target audience.

I have also learnt how to use Photoshop effectively and efficiently, how to manipulate images, whether it be on Photoshop by editing them to create a different mood or portrayal or representation of something, or in the actual stage of taking the picture.

Another element that I found to be important, is that I feel I have learnt is that when you are creating a music magazine, a substantial amount of planning is necessary, and it is in your best interest to know what your going to be doing throughout the whole process (one step ahead).

In conclusion, I am pleased with my final media product, I believe it looks professional and that it follows most of the conventions necessary for my genre. I also strongly believe that it portrays and conveys the genre and target audience I was after, in a positive light.

From my preliminary task I feel that I have improved dramatically in achieving the final media product that I had hope for.

From the preliminary task to the final product the improvement in software and ICT is clearly visible
