Dear St. John Neumann Family, It is with heavy heart that we will be leaving this community to move to Weimar, TX. We appreciate the loving and kind expressions from everyone, and thank you for the wonderful farewell party you gave for us Saturday night. It was joyous and uplifting to see so many of our friends. We will certainly miss all of you, but be assured we will be coming back occasionally to visit. God bless all of you, Melroy & Valeria Brandt
Praying for vocations is so important in today’s world. A vocation is a gift. Our prayers give those being called to the priesthood or religious life the courage and strength to say yes!
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers
for his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

“In order to help build a culture of life, let us give the gift of life itself. Please consider donating blood as an act of charity for those whose lives depend on it”
Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller, M.Sp.S.

in the Religious Education Building. Free breakfast tacos to all who donate or attempt to donate.
During November we welcomed 4 children into Christ’s Church through water and the Holy Spirit. Just as God gave these children the gift of life when they were born, Baptism gave them the gift of Faith and Eternal Life.
The Parents and Godparents represented the entire Church and served as the instruments through which God gave each child faith. Let us, the parishioners of St. John Neumann, celebrate these children’s Baptism and encourage the lifelong journey of faith this sacrament initiates. Those baptized were: Maleni Ramirez Ortiz, Debanhi Belem Mejia Bernal, Lillian Marie Esquivel, Donovan Nathan Berrueco

The Holy Father challenges us to better understand and apply the beatitudes given by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. The Pope offered these as a reflection on Jesus’ teaching that we must be humble peacemakers bringing justice, and mercy into the world: *Blessed are those who remain faithful while enduring evils inflicted on them by others, and forgive them from their heart. *Blessed are those who look into the eyes of the abandoned and marginalized, and show them their closeness. *Blessed are those who protect and care for our common home. *Blessed are those who renounce their own comfort in order to help others. *Blessed are those who pray and work for full communion between Christians. All these are messengers of God’s mercy and tenderness, and surely they will receive from him their merited reward.
May each of these Beatitudes be a sign in our lives that will help others encounter God’s mercy as it has been freely given to us.

Moving On With Mercy, Not From Mercy.
