About Washburn Center for Children
Washburn Center for Children provides professional therapeutic services to help children experiencing depression, anxiety, behavioral difficulties, trauma or other mental health challenges. Through your support of Washburn Center’s Golf, Wine and Brew Celebration, you help children reach their potential.
Washburn Center’s therapeutic services help children discover new skills so they can cope with their challenges, strengthen relationships, succeed in school — and realize hope.
As a leading mental health center for children, Washburn Center provides a vital community resource for parents, teachers and other professionals. The nonprofit serves more than 2,800 children and 8,500 family members annually. Because our children’s mental health is as important as their physical health.

About the Helping Hands for Kids Golf Tournament
About the Wine and Brew Celebration featuring Adam Levy
Join us for an evening highlighting tastings of wine and Minnesota craft beer. Enjoy a fun live and silent auction while supporting children struggling with mental health challenges. The evening features local musician Adam Levy who shares his moving story of mental illness and talks about reducing stigma.
Adam Levy is best known for his nearly 20 year work as lead singer-songwriter for The Honeydogs. Levy’s songwriting has always been musically expansive, exploring styles in multiple projects. His lyrics reflect his years in social work, commitment to social justice issues and lifelong interest in history, culture and political matters.
The Helping Hands for Kids Golf Tournament is a golf scramble played at the exclusive Minikahda Club, voted one of the top 100 golf courses in America by Golfweek Magazine.
Your passion for golf is sure to be challenged at the 31st annual Helping Hands for Kid’s Golf Tournament at this exceptional 6,660-yard, par 73 course overlooking Lake Calhoun.
