Word From The Pastor
We have started 2011 right where we left off in 2010 at Cowboy Fellowship. The final days of
2010 were full of excitement, Spirit filled worship services, and amazing missions and service
opportunities locally and abroad. We saw over $200,000 come in for our covered facility pro-
ject in the final four weeks of last year and we exceeded the $100,000 match goal when it was
all said and done. The engineers are currently finishing up the final details on the drawings for
the covered facility. Expect to hear more very soon!
For this months newsletter I just wanted to recap what we have been talking about over
the past five weeks. The first five messages of this year have been designed to help each of us
make the most out of 2011. My prayer is that we would all remember to focus this year on
Connecting, Growing, and Serving. In case you missed some of the messages you can
download the sermon audio simply by clicking here. Here are the cliff-notes from the past five
messages.
1. You Pt.1 Acts 1:7-11 (What can we learn about you in this text?)
A. Not for you- While the Bible speaks a great deal about you, not everything is for
you. There are things that simply are not for us.
B. For you- While not everything is about you God has given us many incredible
things. From this text we looked at the Power of the Holy Spirit which is for you.
C. A question for you-Are you going to just stand around in 2011 and look at the
sky? Or get on with the mission God has appointed for you?
2. You Pt. 2 Acts 1:7-11 (What does it mean to be a witness?)
A. See- Tell people what you have seen
B. Hear-Tell people what you have heard
C. Result-Tell people how what you have seen and heard changed you.
3. Growing (To grow spiritually in the coming year you need.)
A. The right provisions- To grow a plant you need soil, sun, water, etc. Spiritual
growth requires the right provisions as well. Things like the Bible, Prayer, and
other believers. Nothing can grow in isolation.
B. A radical plan- Everything in nature grows because of a radical plan, there is a
schedule healthy plants and animals reproduce and grow according to the plan.
What is your plan for growth this year? You must have a plan.
C. Realistic patience-Even miracle grow does not allow a seed to sprout and pro-
duce fruit in 30 minutes ( I proved that with the illustration). It takes time to pro-
duce fruit, you must be patient and allow the provisions and plan to work.

4. Connecting (Connecting makes us stronger, increases our usability, gives us greater pur-
pose. We used a rope to demonstrate this. Focus on connecting in the following three
areas this year.)
A. Family- Really connect with your family in 2011. Pray together, play together,
and plan together.
B. God- Focus on connecting with God on a deeper level than you ever have before.
C. The lost- We must connect with the lost world in order to fulfill our mission and
get the most out of life.
5. Serving (Service and Serve-us is not the same thing. Will we be service, or serve-us
people? Here are the differences between service and serve-us that we talked about.)
A. Total Selflessness or Total Selfishness
B. A Life of Sacrifice or a Life of Satisfaction
C. Eternal Significance or Eternal Sadness
I hope that you will take sometime to reconsider these things we have been talking about
over the past five weeks and firmly root them into your heart. I believe a strong focus in these
areas will set the tone for a great 2011.
Don’t forget to get signed up for BOOST 2011 early.
It will be held at Cowboy Fellowship and we will have great worship, and breakout ses-
sions lead by 10 amazing teachers. The theme this year is Connecting, Growing, and Serving!
Make it a point to be in church during February as we continue learn together.

Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life
for his friends.
Please continue to pray that all our service men and women will come home safely and soon. I hope
that you will use the link below each week to send a letter. It takes less than 5 minutes of your time
and means so much to someone so far from home and family. I post a new soldier (or two) every
Monday.

Dear Sue,
Thank you and your church for the boxes that myself and my company received.
Along with CPT Torres, I am in charge of Echo Company, 2-4 Aviation Battalion, 4
ID Combat Aviation Brigade out of Fort Hood, TX. We are not aviators, we are sup-
port. We are mechanics, cooks, and fuelers. Right now we are at 3 different loca-
tions in Afghanistan. This is my 3rd deployment in the last 6 years. I have been in
the Army for 20 years. The funny thing is I only joined for 2 years and 15 weeks and
was going to get out. Where has the time gone? There are 15 soldiers per tent here.
Your support means so much to us. The support and letters that we get is what
keeps our spirits up. If any of you have served before, I would like to thank you for
your service. Enclosed is a picture of me with one of our choppers.
Thank you again.

Matthew 25:35 This is the
bath tub that Colby and I
replaced for an older dis-
abled lady on Crockett
Street in Pleasanton. The
walls of the surround had
cracks in them and the
floor had a large hole
which had been patched
with a piece of wood and
some fiberglass and she
had a hard time getting
her leg over the top of the
bath tub when she would
take a shower. We in-
stalled a new walk in
shower so she can get in
easily.

flooded. The family had
no flood insurance as
they were not located in a

the pump working again.
One of two local water
missions our team did
this week. Thanks for
your support which en-
ables us to do this!
HOUSE FIRE - Last
week we were able to help
a family who had lost eve-
rything that they had in
when their house burned
down. Due to your gener-
osity and your allowing
God to work through you
we were able to provide
clothing for the two little
boys and the husband
who works a full time job
but didn't have the means
to replace the clothes that
they lost. We were able to
get all three of them a
couple of new changes of
clothes and underwear.
The family is currently
divided between two rela-
tives homes where they
are staying until new
housing can be obtained
for the family of four.
We also delivered heaters
and 5 blankets to a freez-
ing family near Charlotte.
Thank you for your Stuff

We’re at the end. It has been a rich, full, emotional week. Right now the team is here at the
Rotert’s and we are hanging out, taking care of last minute items. In about six hours three
families from the church will meet here and together with the team we’ll meet two more fami-
lies at the airport. Please keep our travels in your prayers as well as the team and church as
they move into the next phase. There have been lots of good conversations, signs of growth
and readiness to move on and forward. Please pray for the people whose lives we’ve touched
that the Lord will continue to work in them, building his Church up in Ancona and in the
Marche region. Pray that the men in our church community will rise to the challenge of lead-
ing in their own lives, marriages and homes and that they will continue growing. Looking for-
ward to seeing many of you soon and thanking you in person for your partnership, friendship
and support over these years. So this is the Casey family, signing off, and yet we’ll still say, for
Christ and for Italy,

Cowboy Fellowship Arena Ministry
With the beginning of 2011 we are seeing many new and exciting changes at Cowboy Fel-lowship. One of these is the coming of the new covered arena facility. To meet and pre-pare for the challenges of this new facility, an Arena Ministry has been formed. The pur-pose of this ministry is to serve Christ, the church, and the community by developing and supporting events that promote and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The team is looking for a 8 to 10 foot disc for the arena, if you know where we can get one or for more informa-tion about this ministry please call:
