PRAYER FOR HEALTH CARE WORKERS

God of everlasting goodness, you sent your Son among us to bring healing, peace, and reconciliation to our weary world. Be with all health care workers and their assistants in this time of the Coronavirus pandemic.

As they continue Jesus’ ministry of care, renew them in mind, body, and spirit. Keep them safe from infection and illness, and may Christ’s healing presence flow through them as they serve those en-trusted to their care.

We ask this in his name, Christ the healer, who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.

SAFEGUARD THE CHILDREN

DID YOU KNOW? Stress can affect the children around you Everyone has stress, whether it is a bad day at work, car trouble, or simply too many things to do. It is important to learn how to manage your stress – for your own sake and for the sake of the

children around you. Too much stress can make it hard to parent effectively. After a while, your children may show signs of stress, too. To learn more about how to identify and cope with stress, visit https://www.helpguide.org/articles/stress/stress-management.htm.

Though a Livestream Mass (without the people), please know that your intentions entrusted to us at Mass shall be men-tioned and remembered. Call the parish office for your intentions.

Office hours during this time are from 8AM-4:30PM. Donations may be mailed out OR via Text To Give — Text “StLinus” to 555888, an-other convenient added option is PayPal.

My Jesus,

I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there

and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be

separated from You. Amen.

Act of Spiritual Communion (St. Alphonsus Liguori)

Highlights of Our Lady of Fatima’s Message to the World

The only authentic “Peace Plan” for the Salvation of Humankind

Feast: May 13

https://www.salvemariaregina.info/Message.html

1. Punishment of the World: Our Blessed Mother can no longer restrain the hand of her Divine Son from striking the world with a just punishment for its many crimes. 2. Amendment of Life: “I have come to warn the faithful to amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. They must not continue to offend Our Lord, Who is already too much offended.”

3. Five Warnings: “If my requests are not granted, Russia will spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church. Many good people will be martyred, there will come another great war, and various nations will be destroyed.”

4. War: “Wars are a punishment for the sins of humankind.”

5. Sins of the Flesh: “More souls go to Hell because of the sins of the flesh than for any other reason.”

6. Immodest Fashions: “Certain fashions are being introduced that offend Our Lord very much.” 7. Sinful Marriages: “Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord and are not of God.” 8. Daily Rosary: “Say the Rosary every day to obtain peace for the world. And after each decade say the fol-lowing prayer: ‘O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of Thy mercy.’” 9. Prayer and Sacrifice: “Pray, pray a great deal, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because they have no one to make sacrifices and pray for them.” 10. Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary: “God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Im-maculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.” 11. First Saturday Devotion: “I promise to help at the hour of death with the graces needed for salvation those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the Rosary and keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the mysteries, with the intention of making reparation to my Immaculate Heart.” 12. World Peace: “Tell everybody that God gives His graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Tell them to ask graces from her, and that the Heart of Jesus wishes to be venerated together with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the Lord has confided the peace of the world to her... In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph, Russia will be converted and there will be peace.”

For/with Seniors and People at Risk

God of Mercy, You never abandon your people. Your unconditional love is unfailing.

Uphold our sisters and brothers whose underlying conditions put them at risk for COVID-19, including the seniors in our families, communities, and nursing homes, (and especially… ).

During this time when physical separation is necessary, reassure them, and all of us, that bonds of faith, family, and friendship stretch beyond any distance or length of time.

We pray through Christ our Lord.

For Someone Who Is Sick

God of Healing and Wholeness, we cry out to you in our pain and fear. (Name…), whom we love (work with, know), is sick.

We are anxious, as so much is uncertain. We feel helpless, as we must keep our distance. Yet we come to you in hope, for we know that you are with us.

Fill N. with peace during this perilous time. Ease her/his anxiety and suffering. Help his/her body to heal. Give strength and protection to those who are providing care. In spite of our fear, help us all to continue on, one day at a time.

We pray for healing, through Christ our Lord.

For Those Who Have Died

Eternal God, We come before you in sorrow and disbelief to pray for the thousands of people who have died during this pandemic. (and especially for…)

While most of them are unknown to us, you know the name of every person. Enfold them in your loving embrace and welcome them to the banquet of heaven.

Be with their family members and friends. Comfort and support them through this time of loss and separa-tion. We pray through Christ, our resurrection and our life, who lives and reigns for ever and ever.

VOCATION Roman Catholics in the United States spend a good deal of time speaking of “vocation” and the manner in which each of us discerns our vocation for life. In today’s apostolic letter, however, Peter gives us the “cornerstone” of our vo-cation, the description of what each of us is called to first and foremost by our baptism. He describes our vocation as “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of [God’s] own, so that you may announce the praises” of Christ, who called us out of darkness into light (1 Peter 2:9). All of us, no matter what path our life’s vocation may take us down, have been chosen by God, made holy, and anointed as priests in the high priesthood of Christ through baptism. All of this, so that we may announce the praises of Christ. Vocation is given for proclamation at home, in the workplace—wherever life takes us—in service, in word, and in sacrament.
