Film IdeasTrav and Dan
1. Beginning, Equilibrium, Explosion. How will you start your film trailer with what structure? Who are the characters, what is the setting, time and place?
In the film that we are going to be making, it is going to the genre of horror and will be as relatable as possible, so it could be about some form of disease that spreads from a scientific
laboratory and slowly spreads and the film will be about the main characters trying to find a way to cure it before the whole world has been infected by it. The other idea that we could use is
how a military mercenary or someone high up is corrupted and then he seeks revenge on people who have wronged him in the past. The whole film will be on the bad guys view to give a
twist on usual genres.2. Middle, Disequilibrium, Conflict. What happens to change the story? what is the action needed? what is the inciting movement? e.g. Man vs Nature, Man vs Man, Boy meets Girl.
If we use the idea about the disease that spreads they could find a sudden breakthrough that helps them a lot in their quest to cure it. However in the idea about the mercenary gone bad he could meet someone maybe a girl from his childhood who begins to change him back to the way he was before he was thrown out of the army. By meeting this girl he is persuading that life isn't
all bad.3. End, Resolution, Climax. How will it end? what is overcome and what is the reward?
The disease will be cured or left on a huge cliff-hanger with some form of more evolved deserve that causes a lot more problems that they didn't know about. The mercenary would be back to
normal and would be defeated but not given up and living with his childhood friend, he will however still have the darkness inside of him, so will still be evil.
Disease/Mercenary movie thrillerFor a disease/mercenary horror film there are a few examples which we could follow and look at for inspiration.
