Chapter 15,

Whos Logan, Mercer, Zhen, Gan Xing, and Brock, the spirit five? asked the

dark figure with a grisly voice as he looked among Logan and his friends.Whos asking? asked Logan curiously.

Your death, said the figure as he revealed his face, it was a Hume male withwhite hair, demonic eyes and black eye markings.

Who? asked Mercer, curiously.

Xaiver Black, the dimensional reaper, said Xaiver as he summoned a scythe from

the surrounding shadows.

Who? asked Mercer.Im the guy with the scythe whos going to kill you, sighed Xaiver.

Oh... said Mercer now realizing who Xaiver was, yeah, right.

I will! yelled Xaiver angrily.Then try! shouted Logan.

Then a golden aura surrounded Logan. A faint golden dragon spiraled around him, almost

like its about to strike.You shouldnt piss off Logan, said Mercer with an arrogant smirk.

Dragon Storm!! yelled Logan as he spun his katana in circles.

Too late, said Mercer.As soon as the blue tornado began to spiral above Logan, lightning started to emit from

the tornado. Logan then swung the tornado towards Xaiver, but it went through Xaiver.

What the hell? asked Logan as the street below Xaiver was shredded by the

tornado.I am immune to attacks, said Xaiver with an unchanging expression, unlike

you, Maboroshi!

When the area faded into black and white, everyone around Logan disappeared. The

Floating Towns appearance were outlined with white lines but filled in with pure black.Whats going on? asked Logan.

Youre in my world now, said Xaiver, now perish!Then Xaiver flew through Logan, leaving a trail of shadows behind him. Once the area

was returned to normal and everyone reappeared, Logan fainted and crashed into the

ground.

Logan! cried Zhen as she quickly ran to Logan with tears trailing down her face.I... said Xaiver.

Thats enough out of you, interrupted a voice as a figure emitted a light that was

as bright as day, it blinded nearly everyone, you will terrorize these people no more.Shit, said Xaiver as he opened a dimensional gate.

Omega claw! said the figure as he shot a bright yellow claw at Xaiver.Once the claw latched onto Xaiver, the figure pulled him down, and slammed him ontothe streets.

Leaving so soon? asked the figure.

Damn you, Omegas, said Xaiver as the light started to dull and a Hume male inarmor was revealed, it looks like we have to fight.

Yeah, lets, said Omegas, Justice Blade!

The Omegas punched a hole in the ground and pulled out a golden metallic pole.

Wait a minute, theres no blade, said Sakaru, observing the pole.Scythe form, said Omegas.

All of the sudden, a blade grew from one side of the pole. Holy etchings were magically

carved by beams of light onto the scythes blade.Heavens twin sickle! yelled Omegas as he slashed two golden colored waves at

Xaiver,Hells cutter! yelled Xaiver as he slashed one black and one red wave at the two

light waves.

When the waves collided, an explosion blew Xaiver away, it blew Omegas into the

ground and blew everyone else a couple of feet away. Xaiver escaped in the explosion.

What just happened? asked Mercer, as he got up.Besides a bad hair day for the mammals, not much, said Sakaru.

What about Omegas? asked Haruka.

Im fine, its just a scratch, said Omegas as he got out of the concrete streets.So, whos Xaiver? asked Sakaru, it seems you two knew each other.

First we get him to my airship to be hospitalized, said Omegas.

Will he be okay? asked Zhen.Yeah, what happened to him? asked Gan Xing.

His mind is basically rebooting itself, said Omegas.

Why? asked Zhen, I didnt see anything happen when he fainted.Maboroshi, its a special attack that sends the victim into a horrible nightmare to

die in, explained Omegas, this happens nearly instantaneous.

How do you know all of this? asked Zhen.

Hes my brother, said Omegas, that power is the reason he is evil.What? asked everyone besides Logan and Omegas shocked.

Ill tell you the story when we get him on my airship, said Omegas.

Then a big golden ship flew above them, blowing air and dirt around them.

Alright, its here, said Omegas. as a platform appeared under them and liftedthem into the ship.

They all watched as the Floating Town appeared to grow smaller as they ascended intothe air. Upon entering the airship above them, they saw a marvelous interior that rivalled

even the fanciest of airships.

This is awesome, what ship is this? asked Gan Xing, marveling in the airships

sight.Um... t-this is the Stragna, Ive read about it, said Haruka shyly, right?

Exactly, its the last of its kind, I found in the junkyard when I first came here,

said Omegas, I fixed it up and here it is.Thats cool and all but Im not going to stall anymore, said Zhen, Logan needs

medical attention.What? His name is Logan? asked Omegas, then the prophecy is true.Really? asked Sakaru, I thought he was kidding when he said spirit five.

We need to hurry, said Omegas worried.

Mercer picked up Logan and rushed to the infirmary with everyone else, a few hallwaysaway.

Put him here, said Omegas as a metal table rose up from the floor.

Then Mercer put Logan onto the table. The cold silver steel sent shivers down Zhensspine, in anticipation.

Ill mind scan him to see whats going on? said Omegas as a machine rose up

from the floor and put a helmet on Logan.When a screen swung from the wall and turned on, it revealed a town being destroyed.

Whats this? asked Sakaru curiously, though not wanting to know.It looks like the old Nu Ran being burnt, said Mercer, this nightmare actually

happened several years ago.

Who would do such a thing? asked Haruka shocked from the horrible images.

Blood Omen, said Mercer as a grotesque demon appeared on the screen.

Then a forest elf walked into the room. Everyone stared at him as the images showedhorrid scenes.

Whats going? asked the forest elf, another of Xaiver victims?

Yep, said Omegas.Then the screen revealed Logan sitting on the ground, meditating.

Whats this, hes not terrified by the fact everyone around him is being burnt alive

and brutally murdered? asked Omegas shocked.Hes strong, in body and mind, said Mercer with a smile.

Then that means hes going to be fine, said Omegas, now we must wait for him

to dispel the Maboroshi by himself.Too bad you wont see him release it, said the forest elf.

All of a sudden, the forest elf stabbed Omegas in the back. A small dagger easily pierced

Omegas golden armor. Blood began to stain the armor a crimson red.

Nick, how could you! said Omegas as he disintegrated away.You traitor! said Zhen, he could of helped us some more.

Then Omegas reappeared as a golden ghost-like figure.

I really didnt die, but I was transported to my dimension, its up to you to defeat

Xaiver, said Omegas with a smile, but be careful of aura overload.What the hell is that? asked Zhen curiously.

Youll have to find out on your own, because I dont know, said Omegas, now Imust leave this dimension forever, I leave you my airship.

Then Omegas, once again, faded away to nothing.

About time, I hated that voice, scowled Nick.

Then a red eye symbol appeared on Nicks forehead.Time to end this, said Nick.

Once Nick charged towards Logan with a dagger in hand, a fire tornado sent Nick into a

wall.How dare you attack Logan! yelled Zhen with tears running down her face.

Then a white circle appeared under everyone besides Logan and then teleported them intoa white empty room.What the hell was that? asked Mercer.

Its a safety mechanism, when a fight breaks out on the ship, they are transported

to the fighting room, explained Nick.Then I can go all out! said Zhen, Firestorm Phoenix!

Then in a burst of flames, a fiery phoenix appeared. Once the phoenix flew towards Nick,

a flame trail followed the phoenix. When the phoenix picked up Nick and flew as high as

it could, it threw the flaming carcass of Nick into the ground. After the body burnt to ash,everyone was transported back to the infirmary.

That was easy, said Mercer, he wasnt even that powerful.

Thats true, said Zhen with an angry scowl.All of the sudden, the ship began to violently rock.

Were falling! yelled Sakaru as everyone fell to the ground.We just killed the pilot! yelled Mercer over the debris that was falling.Flying cant be too hard, said Brock as he got up and staggered to the cockpit.

When Brock got to the cockpit, he saw several seats in different locations.

Okay now wheres the drivers seat? asked Brock as he looked around.

Once Brock saw a plane style steering wheel in front of the room, he went to the wheeland sat in the seat.

This must be it, said Brock as he jerked the wheel towards him.

Then the ship evened out but still viciously crashed in the desert. Sand blew up into theair, creating a large dust cloud, covering the entire ship.

Well, at least we didnt blow up, said Brock.

Where are we? asked Zhen as she entered the cockpit.I dont know, the GPS was damaged in the crash, said Brock as everyone else

entered the cockpit.

Then we have to do it the hard way, said Mercer, adventuring.What about Logan? asked Zhen.

I guess you, Drago, Kyubi, Rycoon and Rika should stay here, said Sakaru as she

shrugged her shoulders.

Alright said Zhen.Just dont mess with Logan, said Sakaru jokingly.

What does that mean? asked Zhen angrily.

Nothing , snickered Sakaru as she and everyone else left.

Only Zhen and the animals: Drago, Kyubi, Rycoon and Rika, were left alone in the ship.I might as well go check on Logan, said Zhen with lonely sigh.

So Zhen went to the infirmary, where she saw Logan on the floor.Logan! yelled Zhen, the crash must of knocked you onto the floor.

So Zhen picked up Logan and put him onto the table. Afterwards, Zhen sat down next to

the table.

I cant believe this is happening, said Zhen, I dont know what Ill doThen Drago, Kyubi and Rika took off their shrouds, reverting to their animal forms, and

sat down next to Zhen. Rycoon just walked off, uninterested.

I can still remember the first day we met, said Zhen.Then Zhen started to have to flashback about the day at the arena.

Do you have a katana? asked Logan.Fine, sighed the guard as he threw a rusty sword at Mercer and a rusty Katana atLogan.

Thanks, said Logan.

You dont sound like you belong here, said Zhen as she walked to the cell, toosoft.

Then Rika turned her head in confusion.

Yeah, before I met Logan, I was alone and cold hearted, but after his match I sawpower that I have never seen before, said Zhen as the flashback stopped, so I decided to

ask him to teach me.

Then Zhen continued to recall what happened at the arena after the match.You know the art of sorcery? asked Zhen.

Yep, but it takes a lot of meditation to control, said Logan, so first you mustcontrols your emotions.

Okay, Sensei Logan, said Zhen as she left and went to her office.

Once she got to the office, she spent the night meditating. Zhen soon fell asleep, tired

from her day.

Apparently, I fell asleep, just like Logan did that night, said Zhen, we ended uphaving a dream together, sort of.

Then Drago, Kyubi, and Rika tilted their heads in confusion again.

I dont know either, but it happened none the less, said Zhen, but I wont tellwhat happened, too embarrassing.

So in response, Drago, Kyubi, and Rika looked a little depressed.

Dont worry about it, its nothing you want to hear, if you know what I mean,said Zhen as she blushed.

All of the sudden, Drago, Kyubi and Rika sighed in relief.

Exactly, smiled Zhen, So when I woke up, I realized I was calmer and moreaware of my surroundings.

That was a great nap, said Logan as the flashback continued.

Then Zhen walked up to Logan.

Alright, I have controlled my emotions, said Zhen.Good, said Logan.

Then Logan did a hand sign in front of his face.

Fox-vision, said Logan as his eyes became like a cats, good, good, good, you

did great.Is that what I think it is? asked Zhen as the flashback faded away, Thats

because I thought it was x-ray vision or something.What? asked Logan as he looked up as the flashback continued.

Then Zhen slapped Logan across the face. All of a sudden, Rika laughed as well a

phoenix could.

Exactly, but it was an energy sensor and the heart is the basis of energy, saidZhen, so after slapping him across the face, he told me how to use magic.

Then Drago, Kyubi and Rika laid down.

But I wont bore you with the details, Im sure you already know, said Zhen, you guys stay here, I need fresh air.

After Drago, Kyubi and Rika nodded, Zhen left the ship. With a large heat wave, Zhenblew away the dust cloud away from the ship.What can I do? sobbed Zhen, I want Logan back.

Then Zhen saw a giant flea-like creature running towards the ship and high speeds.Chapter 16,

What the hell is that? asked Zhen as she jumped up and pulled out the spear that

Logan gave her, whatever it is, Im using my favorite spear!

Then Zhens spear transformed into a naginata with magnificent phoenix designs on theshaft and carvings on the blade.

This is beautiful! cried Zhen for a moment before glaring back the creature.

As the flea-like creature got closer, it began to slow down. Then Gan Xing came out fromits back. This flea-like creature seemed to have a hole in its back where people could sit

and be protected from the sand as they travelled.Hey Zhen, nice spear! yelled Gan Xing, by the way, we found a town!

Once the creature got to the ship, it laid down and Mercer, Gan Xing, Brock, Sakaru,

Haruka, Firestarter, a lion and a liger came off.

Did he wake up yet? asked Mercer curiously.

No... sighed Zhen slightly depressed.Oh well, said Mercer, I guess we have to bring him to town by hand.

Ill go get him, said Zhen as she went into the ship.

I hope she didnt... said Mercer raising his reptilian eyebrows, jokingly.Then Sakaru slapped Mercer across his face.

She would never! said Sakaru angrily.

When Zhen came out, Drago was carrying Logan on his back.Told ya, whispered Sakaru.

So where is this town? asked Zhen.

Just south of here, said Gan Xing.Alright, Ill fly with Drago, said Zhen.

When Zhen got onto Drago with Logan, everyone else got onto the flea-like creature.

After they got settled, they left for the town. As soon as they saw the town, a wyvern flew

from the sky and almost hit Drago.A wyvern! yelled Gan Xing.

We cant fight it, we need to get to town now, said Zhen.

Then the wyvern shot some fireballs at Drago, but Rika swooped in and let loose a gust

of fire, that negated the fireballs. Instead of targeting Drago, the wyvern shifted itsattention to Rika.

Rika! yelled Zhen as Drago and the creature rushed to town.All of the sudden Zhen jumped off of Drago and landed in the sand below.

Go on! yelled Zhen, Ill catch up!

So Zhen ran up to the fight between Rika and the wyvern. When Zhen saw the fight, the

wyvern started to slash Rika.Rika! yelled Zhen.

After Rika saw Zhen, the wyvern slammed Rika into the ground. Once Rika hit the

ground, she burnt to ashes. The gray ashes mixed with the golden sands.No, Rika! screamed Zhen as she ran to the ashes.

When Zhen got to the ashes, the wyvern started to dive towards Zhen.Ahh!! screamed Zhen as loud as she could.There was no time for Zhen to counterattack, she was unable to fight.

All of the sudden, a big stream of fire came out of the desert sands and blasted the

wyvern back into the sky. Then a large set of fiery red wings emerged from the fire. Afterthe wings blew the fire pillar towards the wyvern, a large phoenix was revealed from the

mist of the flames.

Rika? asked Zhen confused.

Once Rika nodded, an intense fiery aura surrounded it. Rika has changed from hersmaller form to this monstrous form to better combat the wyvern. Rikas three tails

quickly combined to form a blade.

Go Rika, Inferno Wave! yelled Zhen, giddy from seeing Rika in her new form.So Rika flew towards the wyvern and slashed it into the ground. When the wyvern hit the

ground with a powerful thud, Rika slashed a red wave, with her tail, towards the wyvern.The wave dispersed the sand that was kicked up from the impact and revealed the wyvernonce more. But it hit the ground just below the wyvern.

You missed! yelled Zhen angrily.

Then a huge wave of condensed fire shot out of the hole and encased the wyvern in glass.

That was awesome! said Zhen as Rika landed next to her, lets hurry to town.Once Rika nodded, Zhen got onto Rika. As soon as Rika got airborne, she flew to town in

mere minutes.

Zhen? asked Mercer as Rika landed at the gate.Yeah, whats up? asked Zhen as if nothing happened.

Whos this? asked Mercer curiously, not realizing it is Rika.

I-its Rika, right? asked Haruka, though scared to know if she was wrong.Yeah, Rika was burnt to ash, and I ran to the ashes, said Zhen.

Why? asked Mercer, I thought phoenixes cant die.

I dont know, said Zhen as she shrugged her shoulders.Then in a burst of fire, Rika turned into her original form. With her smaller size, Rika

flew back onto Zhens shoulders.

What the hell? asked Mercer.

She transformed to her original form, said Zhen as she pet Rika, cool.It was still stupid... scowled Mercer.

All of the sudden, the same wyvern flew in and attacked Rika. Zhen was knocked

towards Logan.

What the hell? We encased it in glass! said Zhen shocked, ...this time well buryit.

Not without me, said a familiar voice.When Zhen turned around, she saw Logan walking up to her.

Logan! yelled Zhen as she hugged Logan, youre okay!

I heard your voice, just took me awhile to find it, whispered Logan.

I hate to break this love fest, because it really is, but a wyvern is attacking, yelledMercer, and we need to hurry.

Fair enough, said Logan.

I guess we can go all out now, said Gan Xing as he drew his two swords.Dude, I just got out of a coma, said Logan, I want to see if I still got it.

Fine but keep it away from the city, said Zhen with an ecstatic smile to Logan.Easy enough, said Logan, Bound weapon, arc wroth claws!Then a set of claws was summoned onto Logans hands. Electricity carved complex

designs onto the claws and arced across his body.

Then a male Hume ran by Logan, jumped off of Gan Xing and Drago and drilled throughthe wyvern before Logan could notice the Hume.

Hey!! said Logan as his claws disappeared, What the hell, I was about to do

that!

Oh well, I had orders, said the Hume as he saw Zhen and Sakaru.Who are you? asked Logan still angry.

Shindomaru Taro, Bone Knight, said Shindomaru as he walked towards Zhen

and Sakaru, so who are you, pretty ladies?Whoa, Im not your type, said Sakaru, seriously, Im an entirely different

species.Makes it all the better, said Shindomaru, here you go, the desert can be a cruel

place.

Then Shindomaru created a bone umbrella to put Zhen, Sakaru and himself in the shade.

Thanks, but we both have someone, said Zhen, trying push away Shindomaru.

Thats cool, invite them too, said Shindomaru.Well as long as you dont pull fast ones, said Zhen, though reluctantly, I guess

we could go somewhere.

Not me, I have a job to do, said Brock as he left with his tiger and liger.Im staying with Sakaru, said Mercer.

I guess I should stay with Zhen, for both our sakes... said Logan, glaring at

Shindomaru.Uh... what about us? asked Haruka shyly.

Mmm... too young, let the grownups party, said Shindomaru with a smile to

Zhen.Here is some money, I guess you two should be fine, but dont do anything you

two will regret, said Logan with a smile.

Of course not, Im not Ryu after all, chuckled Gan Xing.

Very good point, but just in case, Drago and Kyubi will watch you, said Logan,we dont know this town very well.

Okay... said Gan Xing.

Im sorry, but you can imagine why I must stick with Zhen, whispered Logan to

Gan Xing.I understand, see you later, smiled Gan Xing as he, Haruka, Drago and Kyubi left

into town.So where are we going? asked Logan turning back to Shindomaru.

My favorite place, the tavern! said Shindomaru excitedly.

Alright, but I dont drink, said Logan, I loathe alcohol.

Thats cool, we needed a designated walker anyways, laughed Shindomaru.Then Mercer, Zhen, Sakaru and Shindomaru started to laugh at Shindomarus joke to

Logan.

Good one, laughed Sakaru.I got to admit, he got you, smiled Zhen quickly turning to Shindomaru, but hes

right, we just met you.What better way to get to know each other than a friendly drink at the tavern,said Shindomaru.

We do deserve a break, said Sakaru, especially after the encounter with

Xaiver.I guess we could, but we need to fix the Stragna afterwards, said Logan, I heard

everything.

Oh... never mind, said Mercer as he turned to Logan, only to turn away.

I know a great mechanic, said Shindomaru, but first the tavern.Fine... said Logan reluctantly.

So everyone went to the tavern. The tavern was an old styled place with wooden

decoration, a fireplace and tons of circular tables.Hey, barkeep, I brought company, said Shindomaru as he walked into the tavern.

Surprising... said the barkeep sarcastically.When everyone sat at the bar, the barkeep served everyone a glass of beer.

I dont drink, said Logan.

Then dont, said the barkeep.

Do you have something without alcohol? asked Logan.

No... glared the barkeep.Fine... sighed Logan.

Want water? asked Mercer.

I could use a glass, said Logan.Then Mercer pulled water out from a faucet and put it into an ice cup.

Thanks man, said Logan as he drank the water.

The water that Mercer pulled from the sink tasted funny, though not from any minerals inthe water.

So ladies, want to have some fun? asked Shindomaru.

Okay... what kind of fun? asked Sakaru.Dancing! said Shindomaru as he dragged Zhen and Sakaru onto the dance floor.

You think we should intervene? asked Mercer.

Lets wait, he hasnt done anything wrong yet, said Logan as he and Mercer

stared at Shindomaru.So Shindomaru danced with Zhen and Sakaru for a while. All of the sudden, Zhen

slapped Shindomaru across the face.

Im seeing someone, and its not you, scowled Zhen angrily.

Its my time to shine, said Logan as he stood up and went to Zhen.I got this, said Zhen as she smiled at Logan.

Alright, but Im here for you, said Logan with a smile in return.When Logan looked at Shindomaru, Logan gave him a serious and threatening face.

Im watching you, said Logan with a scowl.

Suit yourself, enjoy the show, smiled Shindomaru.

So Logan walked away and sat down in his seat.So hes your boyfriend, said Shindomaru, nice fellow, but can he control his

bones and improvise weapons out of them?

Not really, but thats kinda of creepy anyway, said Zhen disgusted with the ideaof bones.

I think its awesome! said Sakaru.Mercer, I think its time for you to intervene, before you lose Sakaru, said Logan.About time, said Mercer as he got up and walked to Shindomaru, why are you

trying to steal our girlfriends?

Mmm... how about a test of love, said Shindomaru, a fight between you two andme.

Youre on, but Im your opponent, said Mercer.

Cool with me, Ill watch, said Logan.

Alright, cool, but lets head outside of town, said Shindomaru, for lessdamage.

Fine, said Mercer.

Chapter 17,

By the time everyone gathered in the desert outside of Ald Xaihou, it was nighttime. The moonlight lit up the glittering golden sands.

Alright, lets have a clean fight, said Logan as Shindomaru and Mercer went

several yards away from the gate.What? asked Mercer confused as he stared at Logan.

I always wanted to ref a fight between two civilized fighters, said Logan with a

smile, so get ready!

Okay, smirked Mercer as he created pale blue ice armor on his body and madespikes on his arms, okay, Im ready.

I guess I should power up as well, said Shindomaru, Bone morphing!

Then all of the sudden, bones tore from his body and started to form a larger bodystructure. When a large skeletal body was formed, two wings and two arms grew from

the body. After a long tail was formed, spikes grew along the spine.Skulwyrm form, growled Shindomaru, now you know why I wanted two

fighters.

Too bad, it would been unfair to you, scowled Mercer, though he was impressed

but Shindomarus transformation.

Whatever, lets fight already, growled Shindomaru.We ready? asked Logan as he checked both fighters.

Just say it! yelled Mercer.

Fight! bellowed Shindomaru as he swiped at Mercer.That was dirty, said Mercer as he dodged.

Shut up and fight! growled Shindomaru with a horrible rattling noise.

Fine, said Mercer as Logan ran to the gate, Water Claw!Then water rose from the ground and formed razor sharp liquid claws around Mercers

right and left arms. When Mercer ran towards Shindomaru, Shindomaru began to slash at

Mercer. After Mercer yelled, he slashed Shindomarus left arm off and slashed a hugegash in Shindomarus chest, but it was only bone, no blood.

Dont think you actually did anything, growled Shindomaru as the gash and his

arm regenerated back.

You can regenerate? asked Mercer, that sucks...Now die! bellowed Shindomaru as he swung his arms at Mercer.

Shindomaru slammed Mercer with his right fist and sent him flying into the sand several

yards away. The blown up sand from the desert created a glittering cloud of dust around

Mercer.I will not lose, for Sakaru! yelled Mercer as the ice on his body disintegrated.

All of the sudden, a bluish aura blasted from Mercer. As soon as water spiraled aroundMercer, a gust of bluish wind nearly blew everyone away.

Whats going on? asked Zhen as the bluish wind continued to blow from the

water, blowing her long red hair back.

I dont know, said Logan as he did a hand sign in front of his face, Fox-vision!Then Logans eye quickly became like a cats. His eyes shined with a dull yellow light

that pierced the darkness.

His aura is growing beyond his limits! said Logan scared.What? asked Sakaru as she dug into the ground with her talons, is it bad?

Mercers rampant aura created a wind storm that threatens to blow everyone away.I dont know, this never happened to me! said Logan over the winds, or anyoneelse!

You will never take Sakaru from me ever again, yelled Mercer with a blood

thirsty roar.When the water was blasted away, it revealed a terrible image. Mercer was surrounded by

Die!! roared Mercer with a demonic voice.

I dont know whats going on but you will die today, said Shindomaru as hepunched Mercer with his right fist.

But Mercer caught his fist and began to tear through the bone with ease all the way up toShindomarus chest. When Mercer reached the chest, he began to tear through the bonewith brutal intentions. The bones regenerated as fast as Mercer could tear it apart. Once

Shindomarus left arm was about to hit Mercer, Mercer jumped to the side and grabbed

the arm. After Mercer tore off the hand, he used it to dig into Shindomarus chest. He

couldnt match the speed at which Mercer was tearing. As soon as Mercer saw skin, hegrabbed it by slicing into the flesh and ripped out Shindomarus true body and threw him

to the ground. When Shindomaru slammed into the ground the skeletal body started to

crumble.Alright, hes done! yelled Logan.

Then Mercer jumped off of the skeletal body and started to dive towards Shindomaru.

I said its over! yelled Logan as Mercer dove down onto Shindomaru.Ahh!! yelled Shindomaru in excruciating pain.

Somethings wrong, said Logan, hes not listening, well more than usual.

Help me... groaned Shindomaru as he passed out from the pain.All of the sudden, Mercer grabbed Shindomaru and slammed him into the sand again.

Oh shit! said Logan in sudden realization, its an aura overload!

Mercer threw Shindomarus limp corpse and started to walk towards everyone else.

This isnt good, said Logan, hes going to kill us and destroy the city.Damn it, said Zhen worried.

Then, suddenly, Sakaru remembered something, that Mercer said that he wont let

anyone take her from him.

Let me try to calm him down, said Sakaru, he got this way because of me.Be careful, said Logan as Sakaru started to walk towards Mercer.

Mercer, its me, Sakaru, said Sakaru as she continued to Mercer, Im sorry forflirting with Shindomaru.

But Mercer continued to walk ominously towards Sakaru, unmoved by Sakarus words.

Please come back to us, cried Sakaru.

After Mercer was close enough to Sakaru, he grabbed her and slammed her into theground. When Mercer was over Sakaru, he rose his left water claw.

No, please dont kill me, sobbed Sakaru, I love you, Mercer.

Right before he hit Sakaru, he stopped suddenly. The dark water dripped onto Sakarusface, which was only an inch away from the claw.

No, I cant let this happen, thought Mercer worried, but I cant control myself.As soon as Mercer shook his head, he rose his water claw again to strike Sakaru. Then interrified scream from Sakaru, Mercer stopped again and backed off. He was fighting his

urge to kill everyone.

No, I cant let this happen! thought Mercer, I wont let this happen!All of the sudden, water spiraled around Mercer. When the water stopped, Mercer was

laying on the ground in his original form. The water drenched the sand, creating mud

around him.

Mercer! yelled Sakaru as she limped to Mercer, overcoming her back pain.Im sorry for hurting you... groaned Mercer, tired from overcoming his urge.

Im sorry too, said Sakaru as she hugged Mercer.

After Mercer passed out, Sakaru picked him up and carried him to the rest of the group.Once she got the group, she fell down and passed out as well.

Please tell me theres a hospital around here, said Logan as he ran to Mercer andSakaru.

They are on their way, said Gan Xing.

Good, said Logan as looked at Shindomaru, well get him too.

So when the ambulance arrived, they loaded the injured onto the ambulance and drove to

the hospital.The next day, Mercer woke up in a hospital bed. This scene felt familiar to him

somehow.

What the hell happened? groaned Mercer as he got up.Sir, dont move, you might reopen your wounds, said a female forest elf nurse.

So Mercer laid back down. The pain subsided while he was on his back.

So where are my friends? asked Mercer.One of them is right there, said the nurse, she didnt leave after she got healed.

It was Sakaru. She had watched Mercer ever since she healed from Logans medical

magic.What was her injuries? asked Mercer as he looked at Sakaru sleeping in a nearby

chair.

Couple of fractured blood vessels and several cracks along her spine, said the

nurse, but shes fine now.Good, said Mercer, and the rest of them?

Off eating somewhere, theyll be back soon, said the nurse.

What? asked Mercer angrily, theyre eating without me?

After Mercer jumped off of the bed, Sakaru woke up and fell off of the chair.Sir, you need to lay back down, said the nurse as she tried to force Mercer back

down.Once Sakaru hit Mercer on the head, he laid down on the bed. He stared at Sakaru, soon

to feel the pain on his head.

What the hell? asked Mercer as he rubbed his head.

You need to rest, said Sakaru seriously.Oh man, youre no fun anymore, sighed Mercer.

What? asked Sakaru angrily.

Uh...nothing... said Mercer noticing her scowling face.Several hours later, Mercer was released from the hospital and everyone went to the

gates. So what now? asked Mercer, Im raring to go!We should be going to find this mechanic, explained Logan, if Shindomaru told

the truth.

Of course I did, he lives in Hai Bei City, said Shindomaru, little aggravated byLogans remark.

Wheres that? asked Logan.

West of Huang Zhong City, said Shindomaru as he pointed to the other side ofAld Xaihou.

Thats far from here, said Zhen, thinking of the distance from here to there.

Okay, but we cant leave the ship here, said Logan.What can we do with it? asked Zhen, we have no mechanical skills.

True, but we still need to get it to Hai Bei City, said Logan.Okay, how? asked Zhen, irritated that she couldnt think of a way to move the

ship and Logan seemed to have a plan.

An electromagnetic field, smiled Logan.

How the hell is that going to work? asked Zhen angrily.

Ill magnetize the ship, so it floats then Gan Xing can push the ship, explainedLogan proudly.

Nice idea, but theres a problem, how do we turn and land? asked Zhen, unable

to fully comprehend Logans idea.Brock or Shindomaru or both will make and control the rudder that will turn the

ship, and Ill demagnetize the ship slowly, so it lands safely, said Logan.

Okay... but wheres Brock? asked Zhen.Right here... said Brock as he walked up to the group, whats going on?

We are flying to Hai Bei City in the Stragna, said Logan.

I thought it was broken, said Brock curiously.I have an idea, but were going to need a sturdy rudder, said Logan.

Alright, said Brock sternly.

Lets head to the ship before nightfall, said Logan, wherever it is.

Get the Desert Striders, said Gan Xing, well get there faster.A what? asked Logan befuddled as he hasnt seen the desert strider before.

A giant flea-like creature the locals use for traveling, said Gan Xing.

Okay, said Logan, still a tad confused.

So once they got a desert strider, they rode it to the Stragna. When they got to the ship,they got off of it and gathered in front of the ship.

First up is the rudder, said Logan, and attach it to the cargo bay in the back.All right Ill start, said Brock as the ground started to shake.

Once a rectangular block of sand rose from the ground, Brock hardened it to stone and

made it stand vertically above the ground.

Shindomaru, can you attach it to the ship? asked Logan.Oh yeah, and Ill make it look good, said Shindomaru as he created a large

narrow bone pillar that pierced upward through the stone.

Afterwards, bones grew from the sides of the stone and created a rib like design on and inthe stone. When Brock lifted it to the ship, bone pierced through the top and bottom of

the hull of the ship and tied the rudder to the ship securely.Its my turn now, smirked Logan.When a golden aura surrounded him, Logan shot a stream of electricity at the ship.

Ahh!! yelled Logan as the ship rose from the ground.

Logan was using a large amount of mana to reverse the magnetic field around the ship, itcause some nerve pain the reverberated throughout his body. Once the ship was airborne,

one hundred yards above ground, Logan stopped and his aura faded away.

Now its weightless, groaned Logan as he collapsed and fainted.

Rest, you deserve it, said Zhen affectionately.I just realize something, said Mercer as he stared at the airborne ship, how the

hell are we going to get into the ship?

Ill fix that, said Brock as a small crack created a large circle around him, geton.

After everyone got into the circle, a pillar of rock lifted them up, to the ships cargo bay.That works, said Mercer as he looked down at the shrinking desert sands.When we get Logan into the infirmary, well head to Hai Bei City, said Zhen.

Okay, said Mercer.

So Zhen quickly went into the ship.

Have you noticed that Logan is fainting a lot lately? asked Gan Xing.Yeah, and Zhen is acting a little weird too, whispered Mercer.

What? asked Zhen as she came back out.

I said, we should get Logan inside, said Mercer as he picked up Logan.You should, said Zhen as she went back in.

Several hours later, Logan woke up in the infirmary. He wasnt in pain anymore, but he

was tired, even more so than usual.Man, Ive got to stop using all of my power... which is less than my usual limit,

said Logan as he groggily got up, someones siphoning my mana!

So you finally noticed, said a familiar voice.Whos there?asked Logan.

Then Zhen walked into the room, to see Logan struggling to stand.

Zhen!! yelled Logan, it was you?

Sort of, said Zhen in a ghastly voice.All of the sudden, a spirit flew out of Zhen. The spirit quickly materialized in front of

Zhen, who collapsed onto the floor.
