Our unique retrofit system consists of unbreakable shields secured over windows and glass doors to prevent a would-be intruder from breaking the glass and entering the building. This technology was born out of the need for a more robust, clear solution and addresses the short-comings of current security products which do not stand up to repeated strikes by a determined perpetrator. DefenseLiteTM distributes the force of the impact over the entire panel, making it 250 times stronger than glass. In our lab and field tests we have put DefenseLiteTM through rigorous impact testing, including baseball bats, iron crowbars, rocks, hammers and even firearms. Bullet velocity degrades as it impacts and shatters the glass. It then continues its trajectory into the laminated multi-layer construction of BulletShieldTM.
