Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Now that the long seasons of Lent and Easter have come to an end we continue once again with Ordinary Time, already in progress. We continue where we left off the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. We are now in the Eighth Week of Ordinary Time. As we have been reflecting on the consequence of the Resurrection and how the Church began with the preaching of the Apostles and the Disciples of the Lord spreading throughout the world, we return to Ordinary Time with two Solemnities – The Most Holy Trinity and The Body and Blood of Christ. Now that the Easter Season, the Season of rebirth and renewal is over, how will all those who were received into the Church, those who received Confirmation, those who received their First Holy Communion, and all of us, continue to live out our faith. First, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Today, we reflect on our very relationship with God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created us to share Himself with us, to be part of His family. God is family – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To discover what it means to be truly human we must come to know God the Creator. Who God is within Himself, is what we are to be in relationship with one another. To discover God, we need to study and to pray so we can learn our purpose as hu-man beings, the very creation of God. We are to reflect God. When we know our creator then we know how to live with each other. We live in a time that is so individ-ualistic and materialistic. If we live as an island, without a care in the world for others then our behavior will re-flect that – and we see this through foul language, disrespect toward our neighbors, failing to tell the truth, stealing, disrespect of property, adultery, fornication, drug and alcohol abuse, etc… When we reflect Whose image we are created in, then these things I just listed will disappear. Imagine if families can do this, the im-pact they would have on their relatives and friends and society. When we make such an impact then we begin to renew the world and once again creation will reflect its Creator. God the Father is Creator. He speaks and crea-tion comes to be. The Word He speaks is the Son, who in time became flesh and dwelt among us. God the Fa-ther breathed life into the nostrils of man and woman and that Breath is the Holy Spirit. The Father and the Son make their dwelling in us when we love Him and the Holy Spirit becomes the very indwelling of God in us. My friends, I pray that as we continue our journey of faith in Ordinary Time, we will flourish in our spiritual life, our very relationship with God. If we truly flourish, then our oneness with God becomes the very reflection of our oneness with each other. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fel-lowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

20 de Mayo, Solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad Queridos hermanos y hermanas, Ahora que las largas temporadas de la Cuaresma y la Pascua han llegado a su fin, continuamos una vez más con el Tiempo Ordinario, ya en progreso.
Continuamos donde lo dejamos el martes antes del Miércoles de Ceniza. Estamos ahora en la octava semana del tiempo ordinario. Como hemos estado reflexionando sobre las consecuencias de la Resurrección y cómo la Iglesia comenzó con la predicación de los Apóstoles y los Discípulos del Señor extendiéndose por todo el mundo, volvemos al Tiempo Ordinario con dos solemnidades: la Santísima Trinidad y el Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo Ahora que la temporada de Pascua, la temporada de renacimiento y renovación ha terminado, ¿cómo será todo aquellos que fueron recibidos en la Iglesia, aquellos que recibieron la Confirmación, aquellos que recibieron su Primera Comunión, y todos nosotros, continuamos viviendo nuestra fe. Primero, la solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad. Hoy, reflexionamos sobre nuestra propia relación con Dios: Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Dios nos creó para compartir con nosotros, ser parte de su familia. Dios es familia - Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Para descubrir lo que significa ser verdaderamente humano, debemos llegar a conocer a Dios, el Creador. Quién es Dios en sí mismo, es lo que debemos ser en relación con los demás. Para descubrir a Dios, necesitamos estudiar y orar para que podamos aprender nuestro propósito como seres humanos, la creación misma de Dios. Debemos reflejar a Dios. Cuando conocemos a nuestro creador, sabemos cómo vivir el uno con el otro. Vivimos en un tiempo eso es tan individualista y materialista. Si vivimos como una isla, sin un cuidado en el mundo para otros, entonces nuestro comportamiento reflejará eso, y vemos esto a través de lenguaje grosero, falta de respeto hacia nuestros vecinos, fallando en decir la verdad, robo, falta de respeto a la propiedad, adulterio, fornicación , abuso de drogas y alcohol, etc ... Cuando reflejamos en cuya imagen somos creados, entonces estas cosas que acabo de enumerar desaparecerán. Imagine si las familias pueden hacer esto, el impacto que tendrían en sus familiares, amigos y la sociedad. Cuando causamos tal impacto, comenzamos a renovar el mundo y una vez más la creación reflejará a su Creador. Dios el Padre es Creador. Él habla y la creación viene a ser. La Palabra que Él habla es el Hijo, que con el tiempo se hizo carne y habitó entre nosotros. Dios el Padre sopló vida en las fosas nasales del hombre y la mujer y ese Aliento es el Espíritu Santo. El Padre y el Hijo hace su morada en nosotros cuando lo amamos y el Espíritu Santo se convierte en la misma morada de Dios en nosotros. Mis amigos, ruego que a medida que continuemos nuestro camino de fe en el Tiempo Ordinario, florezcamos en nuestra vida espiritual, nuestra misma relación con Dios. Si realmente prosperamos, entonces nuestra unidad con Dios se convierte en el reflejo mismo de nuestra unidad entre nosotros. Que la gracia y la paz de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el amor de Dios y la comunión del Espíritu Santo estén con todos ustedes. P. Steven Guitron

En días recientes hemos recibido preguntas acerca del programa de doble inmersión el cual la escuela empezará a implementar el pr6ximo año escolar. Preguntas como ¿p o r qué tendría que inscribir a mi hijo/a en un programa de doble inmersión cuando en casa hablamos el español? Excelente pregunta. En esta comunidad muches de nosotros hablamos espafiol en casa, pero su uso es más social e informal, dirigido para comunicarnos con nuestros familiares y amigos. Vemos novelas y algunas veces leemos periódicos. Pero, muches de nosotros no tenemos el vocabulario y las reglas para poder entender libros con contenido mas academico. Como, por ejemplo, libros de Junot Diaz, Ana Lydia Vega o hacer ensayos escritos acerca del calentamiento global. Nuestro programa les dara las herramientas para poder entender y analizar todo el contenido academico de estos textos y libros.
Desde TK y cada año después de este, los estudiantes aprenderán matemáticas, ciencias y artes del lenguaje en Español, como si estuvieran en una escuela de Latino América. La otra parte del día, los alumnos aprenderán religión, estudios sociales, y artes del lenguaje en Inglés. Como puede ver, este es un programa riguroso, y periódicamente los alumnos tendran que hacer evaluaciones usando STAR (para Ingles) y Fountas and Pinnell (para Español). Los estudios han demostrado que las niños pequeños no realizan un gran esfuerzo en hablar el idioma enfoque, pero aproximadamente en el tercer grado, los niños ya se sienten con el vocabulario suficiente, y la confianza necesaria para poder analizar y comprender los dos idiomas. Es en este memento que los estudiantes estaran dando el mismo rendi-miento academico que sus compañeros. Este es nuestro objetivo: que nuestros alumnos se gradúen pensando, hablando, leyendo y escribiendo con confianza en los dos idiomas, que son entre los más hablados a nivel mundial. Si usted tiene hijos, nietos o familiares, y están interesados en nuestro programa, por favor no dude en visitarnos. Se sorprenderá al ver que los costos de la ensefianza son más asequibles de lo que usted se imagina, tambien se les brinda ayuda a los miembros de nuestra parroquia que califiquen.

Thank you for your continued support of our ministry. We continue to distribute sack lunches to the local shelter until we can begin serving breakfast again at our pantry. Our requests for these lunches are for bottled water, fruit (individual fresh fruit), granola type bars, individual bags of chips, individual fruit drinks, and sandwich bags. Please bring all donations to the church office. If you would like to join us as volunteers, please call 909-469-9773. Talk to your teens about handling workplace violence
Many teens will get their first job while still in high school. Building a work ethic is a great and necessary skill, but teens need to
be informed to about how best to handle possible workplace violence. Coworkers are not always thoroughly screened, and your teen could face another employee’s rage or anger that could possible put them in danger. Talk to your teens about warning signs—short tempers, intimidation, drug use—and about how to remove themselves when they feel unsafe in a situation, and how to report any concerns they have, to a safe adult. A sacristan is an assistant to the priest, preparing all that is needed for the Mass. Altar servers perform a very important in liturgical services.
