October 2015 Edition 34 Week 4 Term 4
What a busy and exciting week ahead. This week 36
students are attending the Endeavour Concert at the Sydney Opera House on Friday evening. Mrs Argaet and Miss
Rampling have been working really hard to rehearse with the
students to learn all of the songs.
We are leaving early on Thursday morning to travel to
Taronga Zoo by 12:30pm so we can be part of the live streaming of ‘Music Count Us In’ from the Taronga
Ballroom led by Marcia Hines.
While we are in Sydney the rest of Franklin School will be
under the direction of Miss Page and Miss Schofield singing the same song at the same time.
Last Friday our school choir toured the town presenting
mini concerts in
three venues. We
sang to the public in the main street
before heading to
Blakney Lodge to sing for the residents
there. We then
headed to Bupa to complete the afternoon.
Last week Tikirah Douglas was presented with the Children’s
Week Award for Generosity.
Tikirah and her family travelled to
Government House to be presented with this outstanding award.
Thank you to the hard working
parents who successfully organised
our meal deal last Friday. Sarah Dawson, Toni Halpin, Nicole
Withers, Leanne Appleby and Keira Marky prepared and
served the meals on Friday. Kylie Symonds for organised
the orders last Thursday. We are lucky to have so many hard working volunteers at Franklin.
