CHRISTMAS TREE CARE TIPS
Before Setting Up in House 1. Place in pail of water or lay it down
outdoors. 2. Keep in cool shaded place. 3 Prevent from drying
out.
Setting Up in House 1. Hit end to dislodge loose needles. 2. Make a
fresh cut 1” above old cut. 3. Place in stand with water. 4. Do not
allow stand to run dry. 5. Keep away from fireplace, heat, etc. 6.
Unplug lights at bedtime. 7. Use only unfrayed light cords and keep
tree
clutter-free.
Types of Stands 1. Store bought (1 to 2 gallon capacity preferred).
2. Tack board on bottom, place in bucket with
sand or brick and water.
Disposal — (Tree is biodegradable) 1. Use outside for feeding
station of birds. 2. Clip and use for mulch or weed control. 3. Cut
up for firewood. 4. Do not burn branches in fireplace!
Note: Two to three weeks is maximum time tree should be kept inside
house.
