InTouch Credit Union is celebrating its 40-year an-niversary serving customers (called members) in the

community, and was voted Best Credit Union by read-ers. The not-for-profit financial cooperative is head-quartered in Texas, but also has branches in Michigan,Nevada and Virginia. Every day, 14 staff members attwo separate Frisco locations, offer members personal-ized, concierge service living up to their companytagline of, “working for you and your financial well-being.”

The two Frisco branches are located at9151 Warren Parkway and5858 Main Street, Suite 101.

ITCU says it is honored to havebeen named Best Credit Union

more than once since opening itsdoors in Frisco and is always ex-

cited to know readers appreci-ate their way of business.

Diane Gerstner, ExecutiveVice President said, “The bestpart about being recognizedfor the Reader’s Choice Awardis that readers really appreci-ate the efforts of ITCU to cre-ate 'a caring trusted financialcommunity through an excep-tional personalized service ex-perience.’”

InTouch focuses on individual members’ needs basedon the company’s core values of accountability, team-work, trust, integrity and excellence. These elementsallow them to place member’s financial needs aboveprofit, while still maintaining fiscal responsibility.

The company’s dedication to members can be seen inthe many “love letters” it receives which are some-times even accompanied by baked goods. These let-ters often describe the struggles and successes thatstaff members helped support members through; ex-amples of which can be found on the Member Connectsection of ITCU.org.

ITCU can serve the banking needs of anyone wholives or works in Collin County with the same typesof services found in larger regional or national fi-nancial providers. Staff is always ready andequally passionate about helping people withall types of needs whether to help financeone of their dreams or help find solutionsto everyday financial issues.

Geoffrey Davis isa mortgage

lender who has beenserving clients inFrisco and the DFWarea for more than12 years. Alwaysfollowing his per-sonal motto of“keeping it real,” he

helps clients walk through the practicality ofwhat they can afford versus what they really needto spend to meet their needs.

Davis works for the First United Bank MortgageGroup, located at 6401 S. Custer Road in McK-inney. First United has been in business for over100 years and is one of the nation's premier fi-nancial institutions offering a full range of per-sonal banking, commercial, wealth management, insurance and mortgage products and services to

customers with over 30 locations throughoutOklahoma and Texas. In 2013, First Unitedclosed over $1 billion in residential mortgageloans. Davis is one of First United’s top 10 Mort-gage Loan Consultants closing over $25 millionlast year.

As a mortgage lender, Davis offers clients anarray of lending products including Conven-tional, Federal Housing Administration backed,Veteran’s Affairs backed and Jumbo loans. Healso specializes in secondary and vacation homesalong with investment properties.

“It means a lot that folks thought enough of me totake time out of their day to vote, my four kidsthink it rocks they have a ‘famous dad!'” Davissaid. “Given that we’re all so busy, I am honoredto be selected by the community for this award.”

Using a straightforward approach that puts

clients' needs above business, Davis helps peo-ple find practical loan programs that meet theirlong-term goals that allow them to experience thejoys of home ownership.

“Without a doubt, the most important thing iscommunication,” Davis said. “Borrowers need toknow what is expected of them and what to ex-pect from us as lenders in return. From there, it’smaking sure those responsible for getting theloan closed understand their accountabilitiesand the nuances associated with each loan.”

In 1996, Davis was selected to carry the Olympictorch as it passed through Kansas on its way toAtlanta. Today, he carries the torch of financialresponsibility for his Frisco clients and those ofthe surrounding community.

The castle-like building ofSunny Days Christian Pre-school, at 8100 StonebrookParkway, was designed specif-

ically to provide children a fun, safe and exceptional learningenvironment. The schoolopened in fall 2000, and its16-person staff works to pro-vide a well-rounded, faith-based education to childrenfrom the ages of 2 through 10.

The school uses a world-recog-nized, all-encompassing faith-

based curriculum called ABeka,

which develops memory and attentionspan in early childhood development byutilizing stories, role-playing activitiesand practical applications of the lessons.Along with that, Sunny Days offers art, music, Spanish and computer trainingfor its students.

Sondra Maglisceau, program directorfor the school, said the best part aboutwinning the Reader’s Choice Award inthe Early Childhood Education categoryis “realizing this was a vote from ourFrisco community, and we’re extremelyproud.” This is its first time winningthe award.

Sunny Days was started after Maglis-ceau’s husband retired from 40 years inthe chemical industry, during which timeshe was involved with opening childcare centers at each church they joinedin the 12 cities they moved to. While en-suring proper child care and implemen-tation of the curriculum, the staff isrewarded with the pure delight of work-ing with young children.

The facility includes a kitchen and cafe-teria that provides nourishing lunchesevery day to the students, indoor andoutdoor play areas, a reading loft, class-rooms and a computer center for chil-

dren over the age of 3. Each day stu-dents participate in a before-school pro-gram and attend a chapel service.Summer camps are also available forschool-age preschool children throughthe age of 10.

Their success is measured in the recom-mendations from parents and in thehappy, well-educated children theschool produces. Reviews and testimoni-als can be found on sunnydayschrist-ian.com under the reviews tab.
