FIBRINOGEN

(Dried, Human)

Fibrinogen (Dried, Human) is prepared from normal human plasma. The material is produced by the cold ethanol plasma fractionation

process of the late Professor E. J. Cohn and associates. It is dried in vacuo from the frozen state in quantities which should be reconsti- tuted for use by the addition of sterile, pyrogen-free distilled water.

Fibrinogen (Dried, Human) may be indicated in hypofibrinogenaemia whether this be congenital or associated with other conditions. The

product has been found useful in instances of abruptio placentae or in cases involving a dead fetus.
