CIRCLE

*A plane shape bounded by continuous lines which is always the same distance from the center.

* The tuba is a clear example of a circle.

TREE REFLECTION

*The mirror image of a figure that has been flipped over a line.

* The tree has a reflection.

*Congruent means having the same shape and the same size.

* As you can see the chairs are the same shape and size.

TESSELLATION

*Tessellation is a pattern of shapes that fit together without any gaps.

* This basketball court fits together without any gaps.

ACUTE ANGLE

*An angle measuring less than 90 degrees.

*The two fan panels make an acute angle.

PARALLEL

*Lines that are the same distance apart, they go on and on forever.

* The orange lines on the hurdle are parallel.

SPHERE

* A three dimensional solid that is perfectly round.

* This tree house is a good example of a sphere.

SQUARE

*A quadrilateral with four equal sides and four right angles.

* As you can see these 12 shapes show many examples of squares

TRIANGLE

*A polygon with three angles and three sides.

* The outside outline of the flower is a triangle

* Lines that cross at a point

* The peace sign has intersecting lines.
