T A B L E O F CONTENTS

Boise Weekly has published holiday gift guides before but nothing like this. This year, the BW editorial staff was given a mission to spread across the

Treasure Valley to fi nd the most intriguing, unusual, fun, functional, ridiculous, beautiful, luxurious and hysterical things out there. In other worlds, we’ve assem-bled what we hope are some of the outright coolest gift ideas around.

Out of hundreds of suggestions, we narrowed down the list to our favorite picks, ranging from tchotchkes, to games, to books, to food, to booze, to fashion. We’ve also included a hefty portion of what we like to call experiences: things you can give to the person who has everything but who is game to do anything.

One thing all these items have in common is that none of them was selected because of advertising. Everything we chose to highlight was picked simply because we like it, regardless of whether a business bought an ad.

Another factor they have in common is that they are all from local businesses, and many are even made locally. It’s part of Boise Weekly’s continuing commitment to the buy-local movement.

If you need to know more about where to fi nd these fabulous gifts, fl ip to the back of the section, where a full business directory will give you all the details.

We hope we’ve just made your holiday shopping a heck of a lot easier. You’re welcome.

If you’re still looking for inspiration, may we be a bit self-serving and suggest a Boise Weekly Card, which you can load with value your friends and family can use at any of the dozens of partici-pating restaurants or stores. BW cards can be recharged, always offer signifi cant dis-counts (at least 40 percent) and can be spent in any amount at any participating business.

BW cards can be pur-chased online at boiseweek-ly.com (just click on the BW Card button) or at BWHQ, 523 Broad St. For more in-formation, call Offi ce Man-ager Shea Sutton at 208-344-2055.
