AIM of MESMA

The MESMA project focuses on contributing to a sustainable development of seas and coastal areas

MESMA will produce management tools for monitoring, evaluation and implementation of Spatially Managed Areas (SMAs)

Johnston (2000) refers to Governance as:

‘the involvement of a wide range of institutions and actors in the production of policy outcomes….. involving coordination through networks and partnerships’
