Andre’sDesignsInfo: Andre’sDesigns was an alternative business name in place of Graphic Jam. The name’s origin comes from the middle name of the CEO of Graphic Jam.

SmartHomes4UInfo: SmartHomes4U is a technology company providing services from alarm monitoring to custom home theatres. Contemporary San seriffs and a triangle shape were used to symbolize a modern yet sophisticated home.

Carlissa’sCornerInfo: Carlissa’s Corner is a is a personal P.R. multi media website. By joining both C’s from the sites name, it symbolically became the meeting place or ‘corner stone’ for everyone’s public relation needs

HiddenWatersInfo: Hidden Waters is vineyard who’s owners plan to sale grapes and wine. A series of hidden creeks on the landscape best illustrated the business’ future wine label.

SweetAirInfo: This was a brandmark done for fun. Sweet Air, an imaginary Ventilation company from Florida, simply needed a brandmark that best fit their business name.

TheWipeOutSurfShopInfo: The Wipe Out Surf Shop was another imaginary company who’s brandmark was also done for fun. The concept for this brandmark was to illustrate the word ‘wipe out’ and demonstrate the vision of a surfer wiping out.

W3LiveEntertainmentInfo: We Live Entertainment is a Group of Dj’s Specializing in Hip Hop and R&B music. The graffiti styled type was preferred by the group of 3 Dj’s and incorporated in their brand mark.

BlackCobraGraphicsInfo: Black Cobra Graphics is a Freelance graphic design business. An Illustration of a black cobra was used to help symbolize this business’ brandmark. The sharp footers & boldness of the type emphasize the fangs of a cobra.

V5EntertainmentInfo: V5 Entertainment is a future production company that produces graphic Novels. The idea feel for this brandmark was for it relate to film productions.

AfricanAmericanCultureClubInfo: The African American Culture Club needed a brand mark for their seminars and panel discussions. Incorporated were the faces of African American illustrations and America in the heart of Africa.

BrandmarksInfo: The following is a list of brandmark concepts for Carlissa’s Corner. Several mark concepts were sketched and then broken down into 3 final marks. The client was granted 3 choices and so satisfied with their final choice that no changes were needed.

BrandmarksInfo: 2 versions of the Smart Homes 4 U brandmark were designed for the client to choose from. The version with the white background was preferred but creating a white version of the brandmark itself was necessary for darker colored backgrounds.

AdvertisingInfo: As a print campaign, the idea was to use this design layout and change the home illustration to show different types of smarthomes.

SurveillanceSignInfo: The surveillance sign posted on all facilities who were secured by Smarthomes 4 U’s 24 hour alarm monitoring.

BusinesscardsInfo: The Smarthomes 4 U brandmark was simply applied to the front side of the client’s business card. The concept for the backside of the card was meant to show what a ‘smarthome’ looked like. Consequently, the illustration of a large house was meant to attract cliental and make them say “I want my home to ‘look’ like a smarthome”.

Gate-foldbrochureInfo: For the Smarthomes 4 U gate-fold brochure, the concept was to show the features of a ‘smarthome’ from the inside out starting from outside of a smarthome. With a bright and inviting color scheme a beautiful home front, this brochure was designed to invite its readers to come inside and see all of what Smarthomes 4 U had to offer.

Title:Info: For the inside layer of the brochure, a hologram styled effect was applied to give a futuristic touch. IdentitySearchInfo: SpeedForce is a toy car company that was in dire need of finding its brand identity. The following procedures were taken from creating a design matrix to developing a brandmark survey to create this company’s final brandmark.

BanditstandInfo: A bandit stand was created to welcome all those interested in the apartment complex at the door and to show just a few of its many amenities

DefiningtheUGstyleInfo: University Gardens is a student housing apartment complex stationed near Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. Because the majority of their residents attend Florida A&M, it only made sense to mimic the color scheme and typography after the University.

UTitle:Info: The idea for the one sided business card was to give all interested patrons a direct line to get information about the complex. By using a photo of the complexes front office as a visual aid, a potential resident had a direct visual source to remind them of ‘who did’ or ‘who could’ help them with their apartment search. The bold type and colors made it easier for the reader to find where the most important information was on card .

E-mailCardsInfo: A series of e-mail cards were designed to remind patrons of there visit at University Gardens and encourage them to come back and stay.

FlyerInfo: The flyer design gaged on the many amenities that the complex had to offer. A few photos were placed as visual aids to remind visitors and others unfamiliar with the complex what the apartment looked like and had to offer.

Title:Info: The University Gardens Logo type was revamped to fit the diverse color backgrounds on either print or web documents.

50ReasonsCampaignInfo: The ‘50 Amazing Reasons to call University Gardens Home’ campaign was used to further interest visitors why they should stay at University Gardens. The Colors were heavily used on this layout so that all FAMU students that visited would immediately recognize how dedicated the UG staff was about catering to their (FAMU Students) lively hood.

ContactLensesInfo: Emphasis on a large Headline and illustration were implemented to help this contact lens company stand out from its competition.

TheKnightWritersAdvertisementInfo: The Knight Writers: J-school Journals was an event hosted by future broadcast Journalist who presented documentaries on varying topics. An image of a knight and old english styled type were requested to promote this event.

UniversityGardensaimsaFAMUInfo: Although a general audience was necessary, it only made since that the apartment complex continued to cater to its primary audience (Florida A&M University). The orange & green color scheme and fun inviting design elements were intended to portray the feel and lifestyle of a FAMU student who in turn would familiarize themselves with this advertisement.

UniversityFamilyChiropracticInfo: The design concept for this ad was to mimic different points of pain making the ad itself the body and using the image of a woman’s head and shoulders as the face. People tend to look down when they are in pain as seen in the photo used, so by placing the location and contact information toward the bottom of the ad, the style ad clearly directs readers where they need to go to relieve their pain.

TheClarkSistersInfo: The Clark Sisters is famous female gospel group consisting of 4 sisters. The colors and typography were all relative to the groups prestige and style of dress– glamorous and timeless.

BlackCobraGraphicsInfo: The design concept for this flyer was meant to strictly demonstrate how majestic the graphic capabilities Black Cobra Graphics had to offer its cliental.

JuniorWeek2010Info: The concept for the Junior week flyer was meant to show how the class of 2012 were going to be the survivors after a devastating 2012 apocalypse. The color scheme and pattern coincide the mascot and color scheme of the junior classes Florida A&M University.

TheKnightWritersPromoInfo: As described in the previous advertisement, (pg.20) The Knight Writers: J-school Journals was a promo for an event hosted by future broadcast journalist. To keep the promotion consistent, same knight image and old english type was used for the flyer, posters, and ticket stubs.

TheTallyShowInfo: This flyer design for The Tally Show was used not only as flyer, but also for online promotion to get people in the city of Tallahassee, FL to come out to this official Tallahassee talent show. The Headline highlighted by artificial lights assisted this layouts talent show feel and appeal. The positioning of each artist and host featured a sample of who to expect the heavily promoted talent show.

InternationalEducationSeminarInfo: This flyer was intended for students who were interested in study abroad programs. To make this flyer design a relative and creative, a photo illustration of different colored hands reaching out to the world symbolized diverse cultures reaching out to learn more about the world.

InternationalInfo: The flyer design gaged on the many amenities that the complex had to offer. A few photos were placed as visual aids to remind visitors and others unfamiliar with the complex what the apartment looked like and had to offer.

CrushFlyerInfo: The University Gardens Crush flyer was intended to interest current residents to renew their leases. Since promo began in February, it only made sense that the flyer be themed for valentines day. The concept of the design was adopted by a Crush Soda campaign and revamped to fit a lease renewal campaign for UG

InternationalInfo: The March Madness Pool Party was themed around the NCAA basketball month in march. Fun typography, bright beach colors, and heavy curves displaying the motion of water were all the key components necessary to make this flyer pop and illustrate what was to be expected at the event.

BlackCobraGraphicspromo2Info: This majestic and dynamic design was created as a secondary promotion for Black Cobra Graphics. A series of photos and grunge effects were used to demonstrate the feeling and movement of how a cobra strikes. The the concept of this poster was to illustrate how Black Cobra Graphics designs ‘striking graphics’. Black Cobra Graphics received a lot more feed back from fans of their work and cliental after this poster design was promoted online.

NightmareonPutnamStreetInfo: This Halloween poster was designed to promote one of University Gardens many annual party’s. The concept for this poster was referenced from the Nightmare on Elms Street movie poster. Photo manipulation was the key component to make this horrifying design a success.

BoogieMansHorrorNightInfo: This party poster was designed to promote another one of University Gardens Annual Halloween parties. Photo manipulation was the key component for this voodoo boogie man’s poster as well. Although the color scheme was Mardi gras, its vivid contrast and dark tones were fit for a gloomy deftifying Halloween party.

TheHuntInfo: This poster design was designed for a scavenger hunt that University Gardens had planned for its residents during the Boogie Man’s Horror Night. Again, Photo Manipulation was a key component in this poster design as well as the manipulated Arial Black font for the posters title. The deep red tone gave this poster a gruesome and gory feel and was made scare the weak and encourage the brave and courageous.

The university theme colors were used for incoming students who were coming to the campus during the freshman orientations. HonoringMiltonGlaser:IIInfo: This final spread honoring Milton Glaser was created to emphasize his style of typography and color scheme from the Columbia records poster design. The majority of Graphic Jam’s designs are referenced from this brilliant world renown graphic designer. Milton Glaser is simply a legendary artist who has designed some of the most memorable works from the I Love NY Campaign to the Brooklyn Brewery Brandmark.

FreshmanYearHorrorStoriesInfo: This spread was about numerous upperclassman’s scary freshman encounters. The for spread with the exception of the photos within the frames was created from scratch. This horrific frame floating, crack in wall room was designed with several different photo textures, photo filters, and blending modes.
