HAPPY EASTER!
Happy Easter! Or as most other languages prefer: Blessed
Pasch—Passover! Pasqua, Pascua, Páscoa, Pâques! Israel’s Passover
through the Red Sea to the Promised Land! Jesus’ Passover through
the Cross to resurrection! Our catechumens’ Passover last night,
and ours once upon a time, through Bap-tism’s waters to our
family’s Eucharist! Wel-come, everybody! As someone once said of
the Catholic Church, “Here comes every-body!” So in this Jubi-lee
of Mercy, we make our own Saint John Chrysostom’s Easter welcome
from fourteen hundred years ago: “Let everyone enjoy this radiant
feast! You who fasted from Lent’s beginning, and you who didn’t
fast at all, rejoice! The table’s richly set! Come, take from it,
every-body, no worries, no embarrassment! All of you, taste the
ban-quet of faith! Enjoy the feast of forgiveness! Let no one
grieve for having sinned again and again: pardon has risen from the

¡Feliz Pascua! La Pascua de Israel a través del Mar Rojo a la
Tierra Prometida! La Pascua de Jesús a través de la cruz a la
resurrección. La Pas-cua de nuestros cate-cúmenos anoche, y la
nuestra una vez más, a través de las aguas de nuestro bautizo a
nuestra familia euca-rística. ¡Bienvenidos todos! Como alguien dijo

Share-A-Lunch [Comparte un Almuerzo]
Porque la Pascua cae en el 3er domingo de abril, nuestro
Ministerio mensual Share-A-Lunch [Comparte un Almuerzo] prepararán
sánd-wiches para Casa María una semana después, el domingo, 28 de
abril después de la Misa de 8 am en el Salón Dougherty. Todos están
invitado a apoyar.
Gracias por las 17.5 docenas de huevos cocidos donados en marzo!
Pre-paramos 280 almuerzos en marzo. 20 docenas de huevos son
suficientes para incluir un huevo en cada almuerzo. Por favor
traiga una docena de huevos cocidos, en su cartón original al,
grupo “Share-A-Lunch” a cual-quier hora entre las 9 y 10 de la
mañana.

Share-A-Lunch Ministry
Because Easter falls on the 3rd Sunday of April, our monthly
Share-A-Lunch Ministry will be pre-paring sandwiches for Casa Maria
one week later on Sunday, 28 April, after the 8 AM Mass in
Dougherty Hall. All are invited to help. Thank you for the 17.5
dozen hard boiled eggs donated in March! We made 280 lunches in
March. 20 dozen eggs will give us enough for 1 egg in every lunch.
Please bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs in their original carton to
the Share-A-Lunch group any time between 9 and 10 AM.

Mother’s Day Novena
In celebration of Mother’s Day, we will have a Novena of Masses.
The series of 9 Masses will begin with the Anticipated Mass of
Sunday at 5 PM on Saturday, 11 May and include every Mass on
Sunday, 12 May (Mothers’ Day) through the daily Masses of Tuesday,
14 May. We w ill begin accepting donations for this Novena next
weekend. Special envelopes were included in the mailed packets and
will be available on the table in the vestibule.

En la celebración del Día de las Madres, nosotros haremos una
Novena de Misas. Esta serie de 9 misas empezará con la misa
anticipada del domingo a las 5 de la tarde el sábado, 11 de ma-yo e

now we celebrate Easter joy! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl
challenges us as we encounter our Risen Lord to bring the hope of
Resurrection to a world in need. We reflect on our brothers and
sis-ters we have walked with, and we commit to bringing Easter joy
to each person we meet in our daily lives. Don’t forget to turn in
your CRS Rice Bowl.
Return Your Rice Bowl If you participated in Catholic Relief
Services’ Rice Bowl pro-gram this Lent, please return them to the
parish beginning on Holy Thursday. They may be placed in the basket
by the Ushers Table (inside the church by the back wall – not in
the vestibule) or brought to the Parish Office during regular
weekday office hours.

and the Disciples we find the challenge of also seeing and
believing the resurrection. The resurrected Christ be-comes real to
us when we recognize Christ in our love for each other and in those
we serve.

Hot Dog Sale
Our Spanish speaking St. Cyril youth group, Arco Iris, will be
sell-ing Hot dogs on Sunday, 28 April after the 10:00 AM & 1:00
PM Masses on the plaza. Coffee and donuts will be sold after the
8:00 AM Mass that day. Please stop by to support our youth as they
raise funds for their sum-mer retreat.

Friday, 10 May at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador (10000 N.
Oracle Road). This year the Foundation will be honoring Msgr.
Jeremiah McCarthy and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. The
evening begins at 6 PM with a silent auction and cocktail hour. The
program begins at 7 PM and includes dinner and entertainment.

Annual Clergy Convocation next Week
Affects Parish Mass Schedule
Each year, during Easter Time, our bishop convokes all the
priests serving in the diocese for three days of in-service
meetings. This is an opportunity for the priests to be to-gether in
prayer and fraternity while also attending some continuing
education sessions. Frs. Ron and Edgar will be attending this
year’s convocation which will be held from 30 April – 2 May. This
means that there will not be a priest available during those
days.
On Wednesday, 1 May we will not have our regularly scheduled
8:00 AM Mass. The 5:00 PM Mass in English and the 6:30 PM Mass in
Spanish will be celebrated on Thursday, 2 May.

Afecta Horario de Misas de la Parroquia
Cada año, durante la Estación de Pascua, nuestro obispo con-voca
a todos los sacerdotes que sirven en la diócesis para 3 días de
reuniones. Esta es una oportunidad para que los sacer-dotes se
reúnan en oración y fraternidad mientras asisten a sesiones
educativas. Los padres Ron y Edgar asistirán a la con-vocatoria de
este año, la cual, se llevará a cabo del 30 de abril – 2 de mayo.
Esto significa que durante esos días no habrá sacerdote
disponible.
El miércoles 1 de mayo, no habrá misa a las 8:00 am como es
programada regularmente. Las misas a las 5:00 pm en ingles y la a
las 6:30 pm en español se celebrarán el jueves 2 de mayo.
El próximo domingo en nuestras M isas de 10 am y 1 pm, tendremos
nuestra Litur-gia de la Palabra con Niños. Esto es abierto a todos
los niños de la parroquia de 6 a 12 años de edad.
