In-house productionWithin the electric heating market, all players try to distinguish themselves from their competitors in their own way.

Heatel B.V. has successfully found its niche within the market by means of in-house production and tooling. Heatel B.V. produces its own products and systems from 0.2 mm thick heating foil. Products and systems currently produced by Heat-el B.V. include:

• Mirror heating under the name Clear Mirror • Caravan under-floor heating. From 0.66 to 4 m2 • Under-floor heating for laminate. From 2.5 to 12 m2 • Horticultural heating systems • Terrarium heating under the name Terra Heatmat • Warm-feet mats • Boat heating

Quality and safety take top priority during production. The Clear Mirror heating elements bear the Kema quality mark (Kema no. 2084226.01).The systems for use in caravans and for horticulture etc. are all produced with a 42V transformer.

The under-floor heating for laminate can be supplied in a 42V version or as a 230V system. In the near future, the systems will be fitted with a transformer designed and produced internally by Heatel. The transformer became available in Sep-tember 2006.

By producing systems and elements internally, Heatel B.V. is able to respond per-fectly to the specific wishes or demands of the market.Projects are developed together with various companies from different sectors, whereby the expertise of the two companies is combined to enable new systems and applications to be worked out in greater detail. For further information on this, please contact Heatel B.V.

If desired, we can easily provide you with a private label, fully worked out.Heatel B.V. supplies primarily to wholesalers, hotel chains, retail chains and facto-ries (bathroom fittings and mirror manufacturers). This is a clear marketing strategy on the part of Heatel B.V.

Heatel B.V. can produce large quantities simultaneously. The production process is fully tailored to this. For further information, please feel free to contact us with no obligation using the contact form.

IntroductionElectrical Heating is hot.

Because of numerous reasons electrical heating will be a hot item in the future.Because the prices of electricity are being released due to the liberalization of the energy market, prices of electricity will be under pressure in favor of the end user.

Also the government keeps pushing on reducing the CO2 expulsion, which is released by the burning from fossil fuel. Through this people in the future will focus on energy products as “green”- or lasting current. These are also the sources of energy that in the future will be stimulated by the government. This must be a reason for you to orientate further on the area of electrical heat-ing.

The company Heatel B.V. would like to help you with this and this case will open new doors for you on this area. With best and warm regards,Ruud van der Knaap,Managing director Heatel B.V.

Heatmat and Heatcable Heatmat

These two products cannot be thought away anymore in the world of floor heating.

In every home situations occur where electrical floor heating is the most easy and comfortable solution.

The Heatmat and Heatcable are both products that have a special developed heating cable as base. The Heatcable is delivered as a loose two conducted-wire (no return cable) with a measured resistance and with the Heatmat the cable is processed on the mat, where through this is very easy to install.

The system is smoothed invisibly, so visible tubes and radiators are in the past. The heat cables can be placed on every existing floor, which safes a lot of time and energy, because you don’t have to remove the existing floor.

The cables only take 3mm of space. All the cables have two conductors, as a result of that the starting point is also the end point of the system. The assortment is very extensive and for every sort of room there is a suitable cable. In this way both dry as wet room can be provided with our sophisticated heating system.

The Heatmat is very easy to install, because the cables are integrated on a mat with double sided tape and also the Heatcable is very easy to install when using the mal you only have to define the distance between the loops of the cables.

The system works very easily with a thermostat we recommend the OCC4 thermostat of OJ Electronics.

Manual for the Ecofloor Heat Mat. Important issues which you should make allowance for before installing the system are:

- The Ecofloor ComfortMat heating cabled are designed with a two conductor cable with a full protection screen, through which these cables are suitable for every room: wet or dry rooms.

- Before starting always make a drawing of where and how the heating mat should be placed and where the floor sensor and thermostat should be installed.

- Let your supplier tell you which equalization substance and tile glue you can use the best in combination with heating.

- The heating cable is a double wired disposed cable with one connection site. - The installation must be performed by a qualified person that makes allowance for the

installation prescriptions, which are being discussed next. Always let the installation on your lights performed by a qualified and acknowledged installer.

- The system must be connected on 230 V 50 Hz. Always check the available connection value. - From the thermostat one jacket have to be milled in the wall; for the alimentary cable and for

the floor sensor who run through this jacket - Make sure that the ground is flat and free of sharp protuberances. - Before installing measure the cables and check if the cable warms up. - The heating cable may never be shortened or lengthened.

Page 17: Heatel productboek engels

17

Before installation read the installation manual thoroughly.

Installation manual for the Heatmat heating system.

1. Make a drawing of the room you want to heat up and calculate the surface that has to be heated. This will be about 50/60% of the total surface. (see Fig. 1).

2. The installation must be performed by a qualified person that makes allowance for the installation prescriptions, which are being discussed next. Always let the installation on your lights performed by a qualified and acknowledged installer.

3. Make sure that the ground is clean and that no sharp protuberances are on the ground

4. When necessary you should make a space in the ground to let the connector sink between the heating cable and the cold connection cable.

5. First define if the Heatmat should be installed with the cables on the down site of the mat or on the upper site of the mat. When installing on a non-dusty floor the mat is rolled out with the cables on the upper site of the mat. Put the Heatmat on the place you want to warm, pull away the protection layers of the tape from under the mat. Push the mat thoroughly to the floor and apply a layer of tile glue. When the heatmat is installed on a dusty floor the tape will not glue and you must press the Heatmat in a small layer of tile glue with the cables on the downsite. When the glue has dried and the heatmat is well placed, the normal amount of tile glue can be applied.

6. Be sure that the warmed cables don’t touch or cross. This can cause too much heat and therefore shorten the life length of your Heatmat.

7. Never place furniture or other comparable objects where you have placed the cables, the warmth may never be locked up, cause by too much heat damage can be caused to the cables.

8. From the thermostat two jackets have to be milled in the wall, one jacket for the alimentary cable and the other jacket for the floor sensor. Also the floor sensor has to be cleared into the ground floor and should come out in the middle of a loop on the mat.

1. Make a drawing of the room you want to heat up and calculate the surface you want to heat up. This will be about 50/60% of the total surface (see fig. 1)

2. The installation must be performed by a qualified person that makes allowance for the installation prescriptions, which are being discussed next. Always let the installation on your lights performed by a qualified and acknowledged installer.

3 Make sure that the ground is clean and that no sharp protuberances are on the ground.

4 Define the voltage you wish and thereby also the breadth of the loops with using the delivered mould.

5 Define where the thermostat sensor should be placed, place a mark on the floor and if necessary mill the floor sensor in the existing floor. (the end should be taped) from the floor sensor into the existing floor. From the thermostat two jackets have to be milled in the wall, one jacket for the alimentary cable and the other jacket for the floor sensor. (see pictures).

6 Unwind the cable reel totally, define the starting point and fasten the cable with the tape, after that unwind the reel to the end point (see picture).

7 Start making the loops from the beginning, measured with the mould on the thickness per loop you wish for. The loops can be places on 100 W of 160 W capacities. You can see this on the delivered mould. Fasten everything with the double sided tap. See picture.

8 The thermostat sensor should be placed in the protection box and must always be placed in the middle of a loop. Tape the end of the protection box to make sure that the sensor can never get stuck in the tile glue. With a grinding-turn you make a groove in the floor where the protection box disappears in. (see pictures)

9 The heat cable may never be shortened and the connection cable may never be lengthened. Therefore everything has to be checked before installation.

10 Be sure that the warmed cables don’t touch or cross. This can cause too much heat and therefore shorten the life length of the Heatcable.

11 After installing the cable and before starting to apply the equalization substance, it’s important to measure the resistance of the cables to make sure that nothing is damaged when installing.

12 Now first spread the equalization substance over the heating system, let it dray, then apply the tile glue and place the tile floor.

13 Never place furniture or other comparable objects where you have placed the cables, the warmth may never be locked up.

14 .After installing wait for 28 days before using your heating system.

We wish you very comfortable heating pleasure with your floor heating system.

Terra Heat Products

40

The Terramat Heatmat The Terramat heatmats are the most widely used vivarium heaters in the world. They are all hand made to the exacting European standards. All meet the requirements of the 73/23/EEC safety directive and carry the CE mark. They also conform to European Norms EN60335-1. Klasse II / IPX4.

Terramat Heatmats produces infrared warmth with a long wavelength This wavelength is invisible for the human eye and heats up objects instead of the air. This way of heating is equal to the way the sun heats; it heats objects which come in the radiation, but the air temperature stays much lower. Reptiles take on this heat as in their natural environment. The Terramat Heatmat heats up, but produces a comfortable heat, where the animal can lie up or under. When the Heatmat is used in the normal circumstances, the animal will not be hurt. Terramat Heatmat can be used without a thermostat in many circumstances. For animals who feel comfortable with a certain temperature and for animals who cannot stand a very high temperatures, a thermostat should be connected to the Heatmat. Also when you have your doubt about the above, it is sensible to connect a thermostat. The Terramat Heatmat gives comfortable warmth. But there are kinds of animals that need a higher temperature to feel good. For these animals now elements as the Heatel Basking Plate are available. Always let yourself be informed by an exotic animal-specialist, who knows with which temperature the animal feels at his best You have to take some important things in account when using the Terramat Heatmat:

- Place the Terramat Heatmat under the vivarium and make sure that the filling (“substraat”) in the terrarium is not too thick.

- Make sure that the Heatmat never takes up more than halve or a third of the total terrarium surface. The animal must have the chance to lie on colder places.

- The Terramat Heatmat is easy to clean with a wet cloth. Clean it often, so that nothing can stick to the Heatmat, which would cause the warmth not to come through. Make sure to pull the plug while cleaning.

A great alternatieve for bulbs is the Terra Heat Plate this is a Infr Red Heating panel and the animals who needs a lot of heat loves this kind of heating because this gives the most natural heat to the animal. This plates we have in two sizes:

Attention

- Before installing the Terra Heatmat, first carefully read the installation instructions.

- Never trim the element to resize it or cut into it.

- If the element becomes damaged, it is no longer usable.

General

- The Terra Heatmat works on the basis of infrared heat and the animals absorb the heat just as they do in their natural environment.

- Most animals like a temperature gradient in their terrarium. They must be able to move from warm to cooler places in their living environment. About two-thirds of the terrarium should be heated.

- The Terra Heatmat can be connected to any available 230V power source. - The Terra Heatmats can be used for many applications, even without a thermostat. If the

animals are hypersensitive to too much heat or have other temperature needs, the use of a thermostat is required.

Benefits

- The Terra Heatmat produces infrared heat. This can be compared to the natural heat source (the sun).

- The Terra Heatmat provides visible comfort at very low costs. - The Terra Heatmat is a certified safe element. - The Terra Heatmat is adapted to use in moist spaces and is therefore resistant to water splashes. - Guarantee period of 5 years. Attention points

- Never trim the element to resize it or cut into it. - If the element becomes damaged, it is no longer usable. - If the power feeder cable becomes damaged, the element must be destroyed. - The element should never be folded. - The Terra Heatmat should never be submerged in water.

43

Assembly manual

The Terra Heatmats are available in the following sizes and wattages:

The Terra Heatmat complies with CE directives and European standard EN60335-1/EN60335-2-96. Class II IPX4. 230V 50Hz.

Installing the Terra Heatmat.

- The Terra Heatmat must always be placed outside the glass or plastic box. - The substrate in the box is a good insulator. Prevent thermal blockage by the substrate by not using more than 1 cm thickness. The bottom of the terrarium can crack as a result of thermal blockage. - The Terra Heatmat releases heat both upwards and downwards. That is why we recommend placing insulation material under the mat, so that the heat is forced upwards and the yield is optimal. - The Terra Heatmat provides comfortable warmth. If your animals need a higher ambient temperature, an additional heat source should be used such as lamps, but suspended heating plates are even better. Ask your specialist for more information.

Installation of MR Panels

Basic information on the installation of MR heating panels Installation and electrical connection of the heating panels, and bringing them into operation, must only be carried out by a person with a relevant qualification (according to Ordinance 50/78 Coll.) Heating panels can be placed in standard rooms as well as in so-called humid rooms – i.e. bathrooms. In bathrooms, panels must be installed in accordance with the ČSN 33 2000-7-701 standard. They are class II appliances, with protection against splashing water (IP 44 coverage), and therefore they can be placed in zones 2 and 3 (pict. 1). An exception are the MR SET panels, which have to be placed in such a way that the wireless receiver, which is located on the rear side of the panel, is completely in zone 3.

During the installation of radiant heating panels, the following minimum clearances must be observed (Pict.2): The clearance of the bottom edge of the appliance from the floor mustn’t be less than 50 mm, the clearance to the side (wall, furniture) must be at least 100 mm, while in the upwards direction (window sill) it is at least 100 mm. The panel mustn’t be placed directly under an electric socket. The electrical wiring system must be fitted with a 2-pole switch in which the distance between the disconnected contacts is at least 3 mm (as far as regulation is concerned, the OCD4 of OJ Electronics fulfills this condition). The panels are packed in a reinforced cardboard box. The packaging includes mounting brackets, which are used for the hanging of the panel on the wall, and adjusting supports which are screwed onto the bottom screws of the panels and are used for the delimitation of the clearance of the panel from the wall. The panel can be installed only in a vertical position. The rear screws for the mounting brackets and adjusting supports are axially symmetrical, and thus it is possible to hang the MR panels width-wise as well as height-wise. In pict. 3, there is a side view of the panel after it has been hung on the wall.

Before you attach the brackets to the wall, use them to take the panel out of its packaging – place the panel in the cardboard box on the floor, place the brackets on the screws and attach them there using nuts. Then, lift the panel up and out of the packaging by pulling the brackets. Now, remove the brackets from the panel and attach them firmly in the prepared openings in the wall using screws in wall anchors (not included). It is necessary to choose the fastening material with regards to the weight of the panel and the kind of wall (material, structure). According to the method of installation, slide two washers onto the upper two screws of the panel and screw nuts only onto the edge of the screw-thread. Attach the adjustment screws onto the bottom screws and screw them as tight as you can with your hand. Now, hang the panel by the top two screws on the brackets and attach them to the brackets tightly using the prepared nuts over washers (the washers must be on both sides of the brackets). After tightening them, straighten the panel into a vertical position using the lower adjustment screws. Electrical wiring system The panels are fitted with a two-conductor cable for 1/N 230 V / 50 Hz. The colour code of the conductors: phase – brown, middle (live) conductor - blue. The supply cable is connected into a wiring box in the wall (pict. 3) – this doesn’t apply to the GR SET. If the supply lead of the appliance is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, its service technician or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent the occurrence of a dangerous situation. Uninstalling the panel Before loosening the attaching brackets, disconnect the heating panel from the mains using a two-pole switch. Loosen the installation screws with the help of tools and lift the panel vertically upwards in such a way that the brackets loosen from the screws. Next, it is necessary to disconnect the supply cable from the box in the wall. Important safety instructions Any interventions into the panel may only be carried out by a qualified person. Before starting such work, the panel has to be disconnected from the source of electric current. As both glass and marble are brittle materials, it is necessary to take extra care during their transport, manipulation and installation. The front board of the panels may be treated only with instruments or preparations which will not damage the surface quality (shine).

Warning:

Do not cover the panel under any circumstances.

The notice “NEZAKRÝVAT’' (DO NOT COVER)

warns that any material which covers the panel

may cause a fire. No furniture or any curtains can

be placed in front of the panel (pict.6), and the

free circulation of the air must be ensured.

Remove dust from the panel regularly, at least

before the beginning of each heating season.

The panel can be installed on bases of

flammability class C1, C2.

Do not touch the panel from the bath or shower!

83

The radiation panels can be devided in two groups: - The low temperature panels. - The high temperature panels.

The panels give off radiation heat and therefore not only heat the air like warm-water radiators or gas heaters do. The Ecosun panels heat the objects and this way of heating is the same as the heat we receive from the sun. The radiation heat doesn’t warm the air, therefore

no replacement of air and dust will take place. This produces a lot of advantages for laboratories, antique shops, bookstores, etc. Also for people who suffer from a dust allergy, the Ecosun heating panels can be the perfect and welcome solution as a heat source. Next to all these advantages this system is also very economically in comparison with the traditional systems. You will safe about 20% energy. The low temperature panels are made in measurements that are suitable for utility- and home building. With the delivered clamp they of course can be fixed on a regular ceiling also.

Manual and installation instructions for Ecosun radiation panels. The electric Ecosun radiation panels are a very comfortable and energy-efficient source of heating. They can be hung up at a height of between 2.5 metres and 8 metres. The panels fall within Class I, IP 44 and are LCIE-approved (411 696, 411 856 and 411858). Materials in the direct vicinity of the installed panels must be able to tolerate a temperature of 60ºC.

The Ecosun panels can be used very well in:

- Offices and schools. - Showrooms and cultural buildings. - Laboratories. - Shopping centres - Factory buildings.

The Ecosun panels can be divided into two groups:

- The low-capacity panels are for heights of between 2.5 and 3 metres. - The high-capacity panels for are for heights of between 5 and 8 metres.

The advantages of the use of Ecosun radiation panels are as follows:

- Lower energy costs compared with conventional heating systems. - The radiant heat results in no air displacement and thus no displacement of dust. - The radiant heat means that people suffering from problems with their airways (bronchitis) have

no problems with dust. - Even horizontal distribution of heat. - Noiseless. - No-maintenance. - Environmentally-friendly. - Long useable life.

The low and high-capacity panels have been treated with a special coating that radiates the heat better.

The low-capacity panels can be attached to the ceiling in a variety of ways. The following diagrams show how.

- Attachment to ceiling by means of the supplied bracket, see diagrams.

Page 85: Heatel productboek engels

85

- Attachment to ceiling by means of chains - Attachment of the panels in a standard ceiling system. The panels are specially made to measure. The panel requires 230V power and comes with a one-metre long three-core cable. The temperature can be regulated easily by means of a thermostat and must be positioned at a distance of approx. 1.5 to 1.8 metres. The high-capacity panels can be attached in two ways; one way is by using the supplied frame, or the panel can be suspended from the ceiling using chains.

The following points must be taken into account with regard to installation:

- The temperature of the radiating surface of the panel can reach up to 380ºC, so no objects may be placed within a metre of the panel.

- There must be 10 cm of free space on the upper side of the panel. - The panel must be positioned at least 1.5 metres from the wall. - The minimum distance from the floor is 3.5 metres.

For the purposes of maintenance, it is important to know that the radiating surface should never be cleaned, as this could damage the special coating of the high-capacity radiation panel.

Installation of the panel: Distances :

• Distances relative to inflammable objects:

- From the heating gills.

100cm ( 380 Graden)

- From the top 25cm

- From the sides 25cm

• Panels must be installed on a minimal highed of 3,5 mtr

Insert the suspension bracket into the mounting holes of the panel. Use the supplied locking screw for securing the bracket.

Heat foil floor heating

for under carpet or parket

The last years we have been able to establish an enormous growth in the placing of wooden floors. The popularity of these floors is to thank for the simplicity of placing these systems, the life-span and the esthetic value of these floors.

One of the very few disadvantages of these floor systems is that the floor stays relatively cold, even when the room temperature is pleasant.

This problem can be easily solved by placing a Heat foil heating system under your floor.

The Heat foil heating system can be used for parket, because the foil only is 0,2 mm thick ad very easy to install.

.

The Heat foil heating system will increase the temperature of your parket with about 6/8 degrees Celsius in comparison with the room temperature. Can you imagine yourself already not having cold feet anymore in the living room, the children’s room or bedroom.

The foil is available in different breadths and voltages; 230V and 42V with a transformer that always brings the voltage back to a 42 (safe) voltage.

Often you only have to place foil on 25 till 50% of the total room surface.

The Heat foil heating package 42V contains: the heat foil, transformer, thermostat with floor sensor the system is prewired.

The Heatfoil heating package 230V contains: the heat foil prewired, connector box with Wago clamps and a thermostat.

We congratulate you with your purchase of the Heatel B.V. floor heating system. This system is designed specifically for use under laminate or parquet floors. This system very

gradually heats up your floor making it suitable for many types of laminate or parquet floors.

The system is only suitable as supplementary heating and will heat your floor 8 degrees maximum. The heat transfer is dosed by the transformer. The final heat transfer strongly depends on the type of floor. The heat up time is also influenced by the type of floor.

IMPOPRTANT:

Read this installation manual very attentively before installing the Heatel floor heating system.

Be aware that the system may only be connected after completing all steps of this installation manual and after checking whether the system is functioning properly.

Heavy/large loos rugs/mats/ carpets placed on the heated floor may accidentally function as heat accumulators and raise the temperature to more than the tolerated maximum surface temperature of 28˚C.

Avoid any contact between the Heatel floor heating system and water. Also ensure that before installation the sub floor is clean, permanently dry level, and that it keeps its shape.

Always test the Heatel floor heating system before laying your laminate or parquet floor. The system needs to be switched off when the floor is installed.

Check whether all accessories are present and start installing according to the instructions.

- because of possible high temperature keep the transformer out of reach of children. - however make sure there is sufficient ventilation space. - the heating strokes are prewired.

Installation instructions:

1. Never put the plug of the transformer in the socket during installation

2. First make a drawing how you want to lay the floor heating rolls. Mark the position of the transformer and the floor heating rolls. An electricity cable of 3 metres long is already attached to the Heatel floor heating rolls.

3. Roll out the floor heating roll(s) and connect the foil with the tape.

4. The electricity cable which is already attached to the Heatel floor heating and the rolls are also already be connected to the transformer.

5. The system is operational when the primary wire of the transformer is connected with the thermostat and the thermostat is being set up. Take into account that the heat up time is app. 30 minutes*

6. Before laying the floor you need to test whether the system is installed properly.

7. When all steps of the installation instructions of the Heatel floor heating system are completed you may begin laying your laminate or parquet floor.

Manual Heatingsystem: Guidelines:

- Always roll out the heating foil completely; otherwise the foil cannot loose its heat. Cut the foil, between the black strips, in the right length and tape the cupper wires as the original strips.

- Put isolation material under the foil. This will increase the output of the system enormously. - Always lay the strips needly next to each other and never on each other; this can cause too

much heat. - Make sure that the sensor’s point ALWAYS is situated in the place where you want to

accomplish the established temperature. - Never expose the foil to moist for a long time. If the foil gets wet, dry it carefully before using

the system again. Establishing the wanted temperature:

- The temperature shown on the display is the actual temperature in the sensor point. - Push one time on “F1”, now “L1” appears in the display, which changes to a flickering

number. This number is the established temperature. This temperature can be changed higher and lower, while it flickers, with the two arrow-buttons.

- If you have changed the established temperature, you can save this by pressing “F1” or by waiting until the thermostat goes back to its original state. In both ways the change is established.

We wish you a lot of cultivation succes with you heating system.

This principle protects the tubes or pipes automatically against freezing while minimising the use of electricity.

Points of particular interest for use of the Defrost Cable

Remove the plug from the socket during the summer period.

The heating cable may not be crossed, overlapped or installed right next to another such cable.

The heating cable may not be lengthened or shortened.

Never install the heating cable over a pipe or tube that can become hotter than 66˚C, for example a steam pipe.

Install the cable at a distance of at least 13 mm from all combustible materials.

Never use insulation material thicker than 20 mm in combination with the defrost cable, and the insulation material must be fire resistant.

The Defrost Cable must never be installed in situations or places where the cable could be damaged by animals biting into the cable or by mobile, moving equipment or situations in which ice could fall onto it.

The cable is not suitable for use in water or other fluids.

The Defrost Cable is maintenance-free.

Preparations to be made with regard to the pipe or tube before the Defrost Cable is installed

Before the Defrost Cable is installed, all sharp projections must be removed. It is advisable to remove any grease from the pipe or tube around which the cable is installed with, for example, benzine in order to improve the adherence of the tape to be used.

When the Defrost Cable is installed around a plastic tube, it is advisable to wrap the tube in aluminium foil. This will promote better heat distribution.

Installing the cable

Wind the cable around the tube or pipe to be heated. Try to wind the cable as evenly as possible around the tube or pipe.

The thermostat of the cable must be placed on the coldest point of the tube or pipe to be heated and must have the largest possible interface on the tube or pipe. Make sure the thermostat is taped firmly to the tube or pipe.

The Defrost Cable must be fastened every 50 cm with aluminium tape or with a strong electrician’s tape.

EnglishThe thermostat is an electronic on/off thermo-stat for temperature control by means of an NTC sensor located either externally or inter-nally within the thermostat. The thermostat is for flush mounting in a wall socket. A baseplate for external wall mounting is available.

PRODUCT PROGRAMMEOCC4-1991 Clock-thermostat incl. floor sensor.OCC4-1999 Clock-thermostat with built-in

room sensor.OCD4-1999 Clock-thermostat with 2 sensors.

Floor sensor and built-in room sensor.

WARNING – Important Safety Instructions. Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any installation or maintenance work on this control unit and associated components. This control unit and associated components should only be installed by a competent person (i.e. a qualified electrician). Electrical installation must be in accordance with appropriate statutory regulations.

MOUNTING OF SENSORThe floor sensor contains a safety extra-low voltage (SELV) circuit, allowing it to be placed as close to the floor surface as necessary with-out having to take account of the risk of shock should the sensor cable become damaged. The two wires from the sensor to the mounting box, must be additionally insulated, e.g. shrink flex. To prevent loose cables from the fixed instal-lation from coming into contact with the terminal block for the floor sensor, they must be restrained using cable ties.

It is recommended that the cable and sensor be placed in a non-conductive installation pipe em-bedded in the floor (fig. 3). The end of the pipe must be sealed and the pipe placed as high as possible in the concrete layer. Alternatively, the sensor can be embedded directly in the floor. The sensor cable must be led through a sepa-rate pipe or segregated from power cables. The floor sensor must be centred between the heating cable.

The sensor cable may be extended up to 100 m by means of a separate two-core cable. Two vacant wires in a multi-core cable used, for example, to supply current to the floor heating cable must not be used. The switching peaks of such current supply lines may create interfer-ence signals that prevent optimum controller

function. If a shielded cable is used, the shield must not be connected to earth (PE). The two-core cable must be placed in a separate pipe or segregated from power cables.

MOUNTING OF THERMOSTAT WITH BUILT-IN SENSORThe room sensor is used for comfort tempera-ture regulation in rooms. The thermostat should be mounted on the wall approx. 1.6 m above the floor in such a way as to allow free air circu-lation around it. Draughts and direct sunlight or other heat sources must be avoided (fig. 4). No external sensor is connected.

Mounting of thermostat 1. Slide the power button down to Off “0”.2. Release the front cover ONLY by inserting a

small screwdriver into the hole on either side of the thermostat.

3. Connect the wires in accordance with the diagram (fig. 2).

4. Mount the thermostat in the wall socket. 5. Fit the frame and carefully press the cover

onto the thermostat. Ensure that both the power slide button on the cover and the power switch pin are down.

DO NOT open the thermostat by releasing the four fixing clips on the back.

Alternativt kan givaren gjutas in direkt i golvet.

4). Ingen yttre givare ansluts.

Montera termostaten 1. Skjut effektknappen ner till Off [Från] (0).2.

3. Anslut ledningarna enligt kopplingsschemat (fig. 2).

4. Montera termostaten i väggdosan. 5. Passa in ramen och pressa försiktigt fast

Ställ in språk2. Ställ in tid 3. Ställ in datum

IntroductionThe thermostat can switch on your heating system at predetermined times on different days of the week. For each day of the week, you can set individual temperatures for 4 different periods, called events. Lowering the temperature when the home is unoccupied will reduce your energy costs without reducing comfort. The thermostat comes with a default schedule suitable for most homes. Unless you change the settings, the thermostat will operate in compliance with the default schedule. Furthermore, the thermostat features an adaptive function that automatically changes heating period start times so as to ensure that the required temperature is reached at the set time. After three days the adaptive function has learned when the heating must be switched on.

First time settingsThe first time you switch the interrupter ON “I”, language, time and date must be set. The menu will automatically guide you through the process. • Choose your language with the Up and Down buttons and confirm with OK.

• Set the actual hour and press the OK button. Then set the mi-nutes. Press OK.

• Set the actual date: year, month and day. Confirm the settings with the OK button.
