First Reading — The people of Israel receive bread from heaven in response to their grumbling (Exodus 16:2-4, 12-15). Psalm — The Lord gave them bread from heaven (Psalm 78). Second Reading — Put on the new self that has been created in God’s way (Ephesians 4:17, 20-24). Gospel — I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger (John 6:24-35).
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION HELP NEEDED
We are looking to fill several teaching positions in the Religious Education Program for the upcoming academic year. For those who feel that they need some training in order to do this, they can be placed during the upcoming year in the classroom to assist a veteran teacher before teaching a class on their own. This is a very important ministry in the church - one impacting the church’s future. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION
Registration has now begun for the Religious Education Program for the 2021-2022 academic year. The program will be structured with one weekly session on Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., in Polish or English (grades 1-3) or English (grades 4-8). We will soon inform you about the details of the upcoming catechetical year. Families wishing to register for the upcoming academic year can fill out the form below and return it to the office or mail the completed form to HOLY NAME OF JESUS RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM, 4 Pulaski Street, Stamford, CT 06902, with the tuition payment and a copy of the family’s current year church envelopes. All parents should keep in mind that it is mandatory for a child to start Religious Education in first grade. Please be advised that when attending church, we must follow these safety guidelines: Masks are no longer required for those fully vaccinated, those who are not vaccinated must wear mask in the church (prior to entering the building) Mask must be removed by the faithful immediately prior to receiving Holy Communion and then put back on after receiving.
