Haitian Partners for Christian Development

is open for business! With the start of 2012,HPCD has been bustling with activity.

Within this past month we have hostedover 50 dynamic entrepreneurs at our head

quarters in Delmas.

From our commemoration ceremony whichwelcomed over 30 new members into ourHPCD family to the Porte Ouverte where

our members and additional entrepreneursinterested in joining our network had the

opportunity to of exhibiting their productsto the national community.

This issue is designed specifically to

showcase these entrepreneurs. It will giveyou a taste of what we are all about: creat-

ing sustainable jobs within in this country,supporting local production, and partner-

ing with others to help make their goalsrealized. Does our vision of seeing

this country filled with employment reso-nate with your dreams for this resilient

nation?

Ernes Bonhomme, a new dynamic entrepreneur who

recently joined our family here at HPCD Mr. Bon-homme is an excellent example of creativity, affabil-

ity and will. Ernes grew up in a small southern town

called Abricot in Jeremie, le Paradis des Indiens re-nown for its beauty and ingenuity.

Mr. Bonhomme has been creating beautifully hand-crafted embroidered bags , and various garments for

the past twenty years. A trade passed down his aunt,his designs are inspired by Haiti’s culture of festivity

vitality, innovation and resilience.

Rose Michele Veilard, had us all in awewhen we took a moment to savor the

originality of her products. All created

from recycled goods: from her clay tab-

lets, wooden engravings to the fiber

glass she infuses with clay each product

is distinct, beautiful and simply time-

less.
