GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS/ANUNCIOS GENERALES Pilgrimage to Rome—Padre will leave for Rome on January 9 and will return late on January 16. Therefore there will be no daily Masses until January 19. Also there will be no Saturday Vigil Mass on Saturday, January 14. Msgr. Shugrue will celebrate Mass here on Sunday, January 15. BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING/REUNIÓN DEL COMITÉ DE CONSTRUCCIÓN
The Building Committee met on November 28. Project to enclose deck: Padre reported that the project is progressing
and will be completed soon. Crawlspace project: Jim reported. (French Drain, Site Survey, Site Drainage, Waterproofing
Crawlspace, Gutters). Alvaro Elizarrares joined us for discussion on the French Drain and Site Drainage. The French
Drain can be installed by Alvaro (and volunteers) and will require the purchase of material and rental of equipment. Ed will
inquire about rental cost of a Mini-Excavator with a 12" bucket, Jim will inquire about cost or donation of gravel (36+ tons)
and secure loan of Skid-Steer. Alvaro can estimate cost of drainage pipe. Underground utilities need to be located (811
Locate). Target work days for this project are January 14-15. . Any and all interested in volunteering for work on January
13-16 are asked to contact Jim Kennady. 2016 Parish Self Study and Needs Assessment: Tim reported this is in-
progress. Siding Dan reported. It was the consensus of the Building Committee that the proposed Hardi-Siding would be
an upgrade to the current vinyl siding on the rear of the Church. Building Committee asked for cost estimate on standard
Hardi-Siding as well as Hardi-Siding which would most closely match the historical existing siding on the Church. This
would be intended to be a low cost upgrade aligned with the Deck Enclosure Project. Alarm System Bob reported. This
discussion was tabled. Note: Upgrade to the existing security lighting was mentioned (LED vs mercury bulb) to better
illuminate the rear of the Church property. The next Building Committee Meeting will be January 30 from 7 – 8 PM at the
Church. Update on Crawlspace project: Jim was able to get a contact name at Sunrock for the gravel we will need for the
French drain project and will call him.
