FAITH FORMATION CLASSES Classes begin Sunday, September 17. Registration for Faith Formation Classes will be on both Sun-day, September 3 and Sunday, September 10 after each Mass. We are holding our fees at $40 for one child and $50 for multiple children in one family. Please remember our sacraments are a 2 year program. If your child is receiving a sacrament in 2018, we must have a valid Baptism certificate. It is best if you could bring that certificate with you when you are registering. However, if you don’t have it, we are asking to have all Baptism certificates by January 1, 2018. If you already brought the certificate last year or if your child was Baptized here at St. Bernadette, you do not need to bring a cer-tificate. Just mark this information on the registration form. Padre cannot perform a sacrament without a valid Baptism certificate. CLASES DE FORMACIÓN DE FE El domingo 17 de septiembre comienzan las catequesis. El registro será el domingo 3 de septiem-bre y el domingo 10 de septiembre después de cada Misa. El costo es de $40 por un niño y $50 por varios niños en una familia. BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING UPDATES/ACTUALIZACIONES DE REUNION DEL COMITÉ DE FACILIDADES Summary from the Building Committee meeting Aug 28. The project to enclose the deck is near comple-tion. Some finish trim work and removal of construction debris are still outstanding. The 2017 Parish Self Study and Needs Assessment is drafted and ready to send to Parish Council. The building committee would like to seek volunteers to install a sump pump in the crawl space. The playground area will be fin-ished Sep 8 with the installation of a fence around the play area. Mike is coordinating the purchase and installation of an additional air condition system. The front entrance concrete work is finished. New flag poles, sign, statues and flower pots will be installed shortly. New Business items included possibilities to pave part of the parking lot, new flooring and new pews (all tabled until next meeting). The committee passed a motion recommending the replacement of the front doors. The next Building Committee meet-ing will be Oct 30, 7-8PM at the Church. [email protected]
