VR8 is a high-tech research facility for virtual reality equipment used to operate heavy machinery construction equipment. The compound consists of: Private research areas, Open collaborative workspaces, Equipment testing areas (VR), Heavy machinery testing areas, and heavy machinery underground storage. The center is located in a formerly industrial area that is now primarily residential and with regards to this context seeks to engage the public by providing open work areas for collaboration with professionals, as well as an auditorium to offer information on virtual reality.

With the rapid progress of advanced technologies there seems to be disproportionate progress regarding their practical use, with recreational activities being the primary source of focus. VR8 is a research center that focuses on the use of virtual reality equipment as an aid in the field of construction. Job sites are a high risk site of injury and fatality and there is a potential avenue to be explored with virtual reality serving as a means to complete these tasks from a remote location with limited risk of harm to the user

VR7 is a research center for virtual reality software and hardware. This building is an innovative workspace that integrates the design, research and manufacturing of virtual reality projects in one location while at the same time providing a networking and collaborative work area.

TMHA Connect is a residential building and public library for those dealing with mental illness in San Luis Obispo, California. The project is an adaptive reuse of the existing Sunny Acres building that currently sits abandoned, and is designed in a modern style that integrates the built form into the surrounding hillside

BONESVellum 14 ga+d Award Winner
With a focus on comfort and elegance, Bones is a lounge chair with a design that echoes the concept of continuity and movement. Its clean, refined steel frame, devoid of cladding and ornament, show that the only structure present is that which is visible.
Aesthetically, it presents a quiet minimalism. Despite its slight oversize to increase user comfort, its mostly transparent form keeps it light within the space it occupies.
There is a kinetic connection where the screwed side plates serve as the joints between the body and legs. As the steel band of the legs moves around in a continuous and uninterrupted manner, the planes of the body are fixed in a moment of stasis, providing a place of respite.

The concept behind the design of the Theatre II chair was influenced by mid-century modern furniture such as the Barcelona chair and Milo chair, and is directly related to the design of the MXB Theatre. It is designed to be the seating within the aformentioned
theatre project, and was modeled after my own body dimensions.
The seat is built slightly oversized in order to accomodate for more comfort and room when in attending a show at the theatre. The Entire chair was built by hand and
constructed out of welded steel flat bar, with the seat portion made of black vinyl.
