    You may eel you have a lot o juggling

    to do because o all the subjects you

    are taking at school. Some people fnd

    homework a big challenge.

    This might be because:

    You have to get used to working on your

    own and sometimes its boring

    You might not have a quiet place to work

    Your parents or carers can have

    dierent ideas rom you about how you

    organise your time

    You may eel your homework is taking

    so long you dont have time to do

    anything else

    I youre fnding the work difcult, talk to

    one o your teachers. Most teachers wouldrather hear about any problems youre

    having. Your parents or carers may also

    be able to help and i necessary talk to

    teachers or you.

    Taking TEsTs and ExaMs

    Sometimes we all eel under a lot o

    pressure. You might fnd you work too

    much, or not enough. Its important to get

    the balance right.

    Knowing how much revision to do can

    be hard. It can also be difcult knowing

    how to revise.

    Dont believe everything other people say

    theyre doing. Some people say I havent

    revised when theyve been working a lot.They may be doing a lot less or more than

    they say.

    Check with your teacher about what you

    need to revise and how to do it

    Work out a realistic revision time-table,

    which includes time to do things youenjoy. This can help you stay calm

    Discuss worries with other people

    Take exercise being active can help

    you sleep well and your brain work better

    Everyone worries about making riends

    even though they may look confdent.

    Some people have lots o riends others

    are happy with one or two. I you eel youdont have any it can be very lonely. It is

    also very common or riends to all out.

    Its easy to think that no-one likes you

    think you dont like them

    Sometimes you might eel dierent to

    other people

    People can be on their own or all

    sorts o reasons sometimes through

    choice, sometimes not. It doesnt

    mean they arent nice or un to be with,or cant be a good riend

    When you eel lonely it can seem like

    everyone has riends apart rom you. It

    can make you eel bad about yoursel,

    even though you might know deep down

    you are nice. Why not try some these...

    Invite someone you think might be nice

    to sit next to you

    Smile, be riendly and show an interest

    in others

    Talk to someone you dont usually talk to

    Join a school club its easier to makeriends i youre doing something you

    dont have to talk all the time, and they

    might like the same things you do

    Join a youth club or something you like

    outside school. This can help you make

    other riends which can be useul i you

    all out with people at school

    Most people want to ft in with the crowd

    have similar clothes, CDs, computer

    games, or go to the same places.

    Sometimes you might not have enough

    money, or want to do something dierent

    to other people. Getting the balance rightcan be difcult. Deciding whether to join in

    with something you dont eel comortable

    with can be very hard.

    Bullying is an unhappy experience

    certainly or the person being bullied but

    sometimes or the bully too. People can

    be bullied in dierent ways throughteasing, threats, physical attacks,

    spreading rumours...

    Being bullied can make you eel horrible

    inside as i there is something wrong

    with you.

    Try not to be on your own stay withother people

    Write a diary o the bullying and show

    it to a trusted adult

    Tell your riends or an adult

    Keep asking or help until things are

    sorted outI nothing works, you may be able to

    change school
