Update Edval Software

This is to ensure that all school Timetable software are up-to-date and licensed.• Double Click to run Edval.exe• Navigate to Help

> Find Updates.



Verify existing subject code

• Navigate to Classes> Class Data > More > CS Course Data

• Double click on “Code” column to sort in alphabetic order and verify if required subject code is in the list.

Import File to Edval

• Get file from iNEIS. Navigation: Reporting Tools> Query > Query Viewer and enter the three query name as shown below:

• You may edit this using Edval, or anytime later import data from MOE via: File > Sync with System > Sync now > (Import)

• Browse to select the three import files:– SUB,TCH,FAC



Edit existing subject class

• In Edval, Navigate to Classes > Class Data

• Select The class and subject code that user wished to change.

Edit existing subject class

• Enter the subject code that the user desired. Keep in mind that the subject code can always be referred @ More > Cs Course Data

• Click Enter and the Description of the subject code will be reflect at “Subject free-text” column

Add new subject class

• In a scenario where user decide to use existing subject class and code. A new subject class have to be created along with the new subject code.

• Click on “Insert button” on the keyboard and there will be a empty row appear for user to insert the class details


• Enter Class under the “code” column. E.G: 9MATN_A which means Maths(Normal) for 9A class. And follow by subject code.

• **A gentle remind that: Each class code has to be unique from other class; else there will be error if user try to enter code “9MAT_A” twice.

• The outcome of code “9MATN_A” will be displayed as 9A in class section as the system only fetch Number before underscore and Value after underscore.


• Click Enter and Description will be displayed based on the subject code entered.


• In this scenario, user will have two Math class for Year 9A Student. Which is the normal math class and IGCSE



Set Export format

• Ensure export format system is set:• File > Sync with System > Configuration

Export file for MOE

• Save the timetable file• Menu Path: File > Sync with System > Sync now

(Ctrl-K)• Set date range and term• Press Export



Filter exported .psv file

• By default, exported .psv from Edval are store in the following folder destination:

• Open .psv file using excel






• Filter out the subject that you wish to upload ONLY. This is to reduce risk of over write your current existing Timetable information in system.

• Click “save”

• Primary school should run this process with academic career ‘Primary School’

• Run this process ONCE only

• Verify if all classes are in the system.• Check if data for the subject classes is

valid (eg: correct allocated room and time)• Check if subject Teacher, Class Teacher

and HEP is properly assigned

section in school for a particular term

• Navigation: Records and Enrollment > Enroll Students > Block Enrollment > Create Class Block

• Click Add a New Value tab

selected click Save button

• Records and Enrollment > Enroll Students > Block Enrollment > Create Class Block

• Search for existing Term 2 Class Block
