Our Pembroke Syndicate 4000 operates within Lloyd’s where the market rating is A (Excellent) by A.M. Best, AA- (Very Strong) from Fitch and A+ (Strong) from Standard & Poor’s. A.M. Best also recognised us as a top 10 surplus lines carrier in the United States.
Founded in 2006 with $1 billion in private equity capital, Ironshore’s total capitalisation is $2.31 billion and invested assets and cash are $5.1 billion. Ironshore’s Gross Written Premium has grown nearly 7 times since inception. Over the past ten years, we’ve taken on the industry’s most challenging risks, launched more than 100 new products and have been recognised by Advisen as one of the most innovative companies in the industry six years in a row. CORPORATE OVERVIEW
Ironshore provides broker-sourced specialty commercial property and casualty coverage for global risks located throughout the world, with a local presence operating in 35 offices in Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Dubai, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, London, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Shanghai, Singapore, Switzerland, Tokyo, the United States, and the capability to write business throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. This complementary structure allows us to leverage the strength of Lloyd’s with our specialist underwriting expertise to maximise the benefits for our brokers and clients.
We pioneered a highly efficient system to address and process claims. Our in-house claims group works in conjunction with each of our underwriting business units and operates in close coordination with the same experienced leadership team. While this integrated service model seems fairly obvious, it’s unique within the industry.
Ironshore partnered with Fosun International in 2015, a leading global investment company with more than $58 billion in assets. Fosun has multiple investments across a diverse range of industries, insurance being a core business in their portfolio. Investment from Fosun International assists our management team to continue to expand our innovative product offerings, existing business and strong presence throughout the world.
