The Tree of Tales

With the move to the new campus, we took the clubs out of our teaching

curriculum and also to offer more clubs for children.

The start in autumn term was a great success. Many parents told us that t

their clubs. Motivated with positive feedback from students and parents, we’ve started after school

clubs this term with 16 different clubs on three different days. These clubs will run until the end of this

term and new clubs will be opening during our summer term.

Our after school clubs are getting more and more popular. Therefore, please wait for the new club

announcements before the end of the term and make sure that you register your child in advance in

order to secure a place.

After School Clubs

Earthquake Donations After the big earthquake that struck the People’s Republic of China,

our students and parents collected some money to

a mural that was painted to excite and inspire the imagination of the Key Stage 1

children. It displays characters from traditional tales from around the world

Early Years successfully presented a 40 minutes production of an enchanting musical performance

called ‘The Magic Toyshop’. The children were all delightful and played their parts well,

hard at home as well as at school. Costumes were simple but very colourful and Santa even

showed his tummy!

Well done Early Years children!

The Key Stage 1 End of Year Production was a testament to the enduring qualities of the traditional

stories that we have all grown up with and pass on to our children. The joy and enthusiasm the

children displayed in preparing for this production was a delight to behold. All of the children

worked very hard to ensure that they were able

to be very proud of their efforts. It was wonderful to see the strong support that the children were

given by their parents with a large audience watching the performance.

Both Year 1 classes focused on teaching tales with 1L en

Tortoise and 1R enthusiastically perform The Little Red Hen.

Year 2 were enthralled by the Grimms fairy tales. 2G created an adaption of The Breman Town

Musicians and 2R performed the timeless classic, Goldilocks a

of Rapunzel.

All the children are to be congratulated on their outstanding performances

and their work in making this show a success.

The Key Stage 2 seasonal production was on the subject of winter.

It was a mixture of drama and music, all on the winter theme, ranging

from a wintry play, complete with props and scenery presented by Year 3

to the song “Winter Wonderland” sung by Year 4.

the Snowman) and it was a great success.

the same time on the Friday 23rd of January after school, and will e

games, clown and a bouncy castle.
