Who makes your barrels? We have a few different barrel manufacturers that we subcontract barrels to such as Shaw® and Wilson Arms®.
What are your barrels chambered for and can I shoot .223 in your barrel?Our barrels are chambered for 5.56 Nato unless otherwise stated. The 5.56 chamber is slightly larger than the .223 Remington chamber. This allows use of both 5.56 and .223 ammunition without extraction problems.
What is the twist rate?The twist rate is listed typically listed with the description of the barrel. On 5.56 barrels, bull barrels are offered both 1x8 and 1x10 twist rates, our standard barrels are primarily 1x9 twist. We do offer some 1x7 twist rates for certain contours, listed in the description of the barrel, barreled upper or kit.
Are your barrels chrome lined?Our standard HBAR’s are 4140 chrome moly steel. Chrome-moly will be more accurate, but not quite as durable as a chrome lined barrel. We have most configu-rations of chrome-lined barrels available as an upgrade; inquire for pricing and availability. We also offer a few configurations with 4150 chrome vanadium steel, check the descriptions to see what is available.
Who makes the parts in your kits?We use various military sub-contractors to make the different components. There are only a few manufacturers that make most of the components correctly to military specs, and we’ve dealt with most of them for years. Due to confidentiality agreements, these names can not be released.
What is included in a kit?A kit consists of a complete barreled upper with bolt carrier assy. & charging handle, a lower parts kit, and buttstock assembly.
What tools do I need to assemble my kit?With our kits the uppers come assembled and headspaced, so most of the work is done for you. To assemble the lower you will need a good punch set, a ham-mer, an adjustable wrench or spanner wrench (depending on which stock you purchased), a flat head screwdriver, common sense, some mechanical ability, and patience. Most everything will only go in one way, so go slowly and carefully. Most can assemble their first lower in just under an hour.
What tools do I need to take apart my upper?For upper assembly you will need a vice, a way of holding either the barrel or upper in the vice (action block), a barrel or armorer’s wrench, a torque wrench, a punch for the gas tube pin, a hammer, good instructions, common sense, and some mechanical ability.
Can I put a 11.5” barreled upper on my AR-15?Unless your lower receiver is registered as a Short Barreled Rifle, M-16, or a pistol then the answer is no. The shortest length barrel you can legally install is 16”.
How do I make my AR-15 a SBR?Contact your local ATF office and they can get you the proper paperwork to fill out and submit to register your lower as a SBR.
Can I install M-16 parts in my AR-15 to make it full auto?NO! NO! NO! Don’t even think about it! Any attempt is a felony! Contact the ATF @ 1-800-ATF-GUNS for details.
Do you fully assemble and headspace the uppers in your kits?Yes, the uppers in our kits come ready to fire.
Do you bill my credit card when the order is placed or when my package is shipped?We do not bill your card until the day the order is packed and ready to be shipped.
I will be near your area; can I stop by and pick up an order?We are not currently set up for walk-in sales. If you give us enough advance notice, we may be able to set up a pick up with one of our local dealers.
How do I know if the prices I have are correct?Since the prices in this business can change very drastically over very short periods of time, contact us to ensure that you get the most up-to-date pricing.
How do I calculate shipping?The best way to get the exact shipping is to contact us with the order and your ZIP code. Minimum UPS shipping is $14. Packages valued under $100 can be shipped via USPS with a minimum shipping of $7.
I don’t see the configuration that I want listed; do you have it?We offer many different configurations that are not listed, but are available. Please call to inquire!
What do I need to change my AR-15 to another caliber?Depending on which caliber you are wanting to change to will determine what you will need. Typically in the caliber conversion uppers we list what is needed.
Are you capable of offering special runs of rifles or kits in configurations other than listed?We subcontract for various large manufacturers and parts companies. Send Jack a spec sheet and quantities you are wanting and he can get back to you with a quote and suggestions on how to better fulfill your needs. Custom Laser engraving is available.
