Reception for Hannah Norris—Our

children and youth director, Hannah

Norris, has accepted a new call to be

the full-time director of youth and adult

ministries at Good Shepherd Presbyte-

rian Church in Lilburn, GA. It's a great

opportunity for Hannah that she just

couldn't pass up. We are going to miss

her terribly! We will have a reception for

Hannah after worship next Sunday, July

28. If you would like to contribute to a

The Nominating Committee has begun the

search for nominees for Ruling Elders to serve on

session in 2014. If you have a recommendation

of a nominee, please let us know by either speak-

ing to a member of the committee or placing the

name of the individual in the box at the back of

the sanctuary. We welcome your input and ap-

preciate your participation in this important proc-

ess in the life of the church. Ruling Elders must:

Volunteers needed—

Members of FPC staff the

Ecumenical Storehouse

during the month of August,

so please sign up on the list on the counter in the

fellowship hall. At least four volunteers are

needed each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

from 8:45 a.m. until noon. In addition, at least six

people and three trucks are needed to pick up

furniture Saturdays from 8:45 until noon.

The organizers thank all volunteers in advance

for helping to sustain the success of this local

mission project. Our congregation is one of

several Oak Ridge churches that rotate monthly

volunteer responsibilities at the storehouse.

The ADFAC School Supplies program needs your help. If you can spare

an hour or two between now and the start of school on August 12,

ADFAC is looking for volunteers to help pack and distribute backpacks to

thousands of children in need of school supplies. The schedule is below.
