Join us on Thursdays at 6 p.m. in the chapel at Assumption as we pray the rosary in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Men and women of all ages come to the prayer group to pray for the intentions of their families, our parish, the community and for requests listed in the parish prayer books and requested through the parish office. Come any time and bring a friend! Rosaries are available for those who need them!

JOIN US FOR THURSDAY EVENING PRAYER GROUP!

When a baby is baptized at our parishes, we give the family a handmade baptism blanket. The Good News: We have several baptisms scheduled in the coming months. The Bad News: Our supply of handmade baptism blankets has run low! We provide the white yarn, and you use a pattern of your choice to make a square blanket (28" inches or larger) Yarn can be picked up and blankets returned to the office at Church of The Assumption or at the Prayer Shawl Group’s monthly meeting, the first Wednesday of each month from 1-2:30 pm in Assumption's Living Room. Contact Becky L. with questions at [email protected]

The Mercy Fund helps many families in our community that may still be recovering from the past year of the pandemic. We are in need of additional volunteers to help us serve those in need by interviewing them on the phone and giving resources to meet those needs from our lists of resources. We help to fulfill the family’s immediate basic needs by providing financial support, food, clothing, furnishings, baby supplies, housing resources, and holiday dinner baskets when able. Mostly, we are available to listen to their hardships at troubled times and provide hope as a Christian. Please call Mercy Fund line at 388- 5440 to leave your name, and phone number with your volunteer interests.

ASSUMPTION’S MERCY FUND NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

It’s time for the 10th annual Recycling for Life Can and Bottle Drive sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, so… save these dates and save all your bottles and cans for Saturday and Sunday, July 10 & 11! Bring your donations to the Assumption parking lot anytime between 9 am and 5 pm, Saturday, and before and after the Masses on Sunday. We have raised over $12,000 over the past 10 years, with 100% of proceeds benefiting local life-affirming charities. This year will be even bigger due to your great generosity and support for those most vulnerable! Contact Dan Mruzek with any questions: [email protected] or 585-766-2430 (call or text)

SUPPORT LIFE AND RECYCLE AT THE SAME TIME!

Thank You! Churches of The Assumption Resurrection

Nonperishable, dry and canned foods are once again being collected for the Perinton Food Shelf at Church of the Resurrection. You may bring your nonperishable food donation items to Church of the Resurrection, and place them in the bin that is located next to Chapel.

FOOD COLLECTIONS RESUME AT RESURRECTION FOR PERINTON FOOD SHELF

Thank you for your support!

After this unusual year, we are asking all our parishioners to take a few minutes to share your ideas about ways we can learn, grow, and build our community of faith together.

Filling out the survey online will make it easier for our staff to collate the responses, but you may fill out a paper copy if you prefer. Your feedback is important to us! Paper copies of the surveys are available in the foyer/narthex.
