I Still Love Sundays

I can still remember a time when Sundays were distinctly different from every other day of the week. Sundays were more of a family day. Most businesses

were closed, so their workers didn’t have to spend time away from their own family to serve you. Today, it’s pretty much just like any other day. It’s can be an off day, sometimes includ-ing from God. It’s a free day. A vacation day. A catch up day. A get ready for tomorrow day.

But what if Sundays could be something more? What if Sunday was the best day of your week? What if Sunday could have a incredible effect on the rest of the week, even Mondays?

June 26 will be our next I love Sundays event. We will continue the seven challenges from April. Take a look at April’s newsletter for more on those. We will also add one special chal-lenge this time around. You’ll have to come to find out about that one. Everyone is invited to come and please bring someone with you. And don’t forget to invite that someone to come home with you for some lunch and fellowship afterwards.

We will have a wonderful time of praise and worship together and I’ll share why I still love Sundays and encourage you and your family in how to help you love Sundays too.

This summer I hope you’ll still love Sundays. Even if you can’t be here all the time, please don’t forget to take God with you wherever you go and in what ever you do.

Vacation Bible School

I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who came and participated in this year’s VBS. We had more than 60 young lives every night as well as many adults — teachers and helpers — who made it a memorable and successful time serving the Lord. Join me in praying that it planted a spiritual seed in the life of these young ones. Also stay tuned for some youth activi-ties for this age-group throughout the summer.

Supporting Missions

I’m excited that Pecos and Linda Inchaustegui will be with us on June 12. It’s a opportunity for us to see and experience a little of what supporting missions does around the world. It al-so might encourage you to the point that you want to use your talents and gifts for spreading the Good news of Jesus in some part of this world.

Also, thank you for your fervent prayers for Cody Werner and Lanette McCune during their re-cent mission trips. We look forward to hearing about all that God blessed them and their mis-sion teams in. I encourage each of you to reach out to them and ask.

Thanks for listening and for letting me love you — your brother in Christ,

Michael

"I'm so happy that our children today have the guidance and leadership to enhance their lives -- with the dedicated people that

you have at your camp to promote their well-being. Our children are learning very valuable lessons in this troubled world. So

many other children are going in the wrong direction -- children that don't have the church, school and good people to teach

them.-- Gloria Crownover, camper Mom

We have really appreciated the ministry of Camp! Our son Erik attended 4 summers and has loved every minute of it! He

could have gone to other camps, but he didn’t want the fancy skateboard parks and the big Christian bands. He liked the sim-

ple fun and the craziness and traditions at Camp. His counselors have truly cared for him and exemplified Christ to him. Each

summer we have seen him come home encouraged in his walk with Christ and wanting to follow Him more closely, which we

are thankful for especially as he attends public school. Thank you so much in making a difference in our children's lives. Tom

and Shelly Carlstrom, camper parents
