Script

Agatha's appearance gives an impression of lifelessness. Her eyes are blue and she is sunk in blue water. Often blue is a color that represents water, or objects that are transparent and reflective. Since most of the transparent and reflective objects are fragile and delicate, for example, glasses and plastics, the color blue expresses Agatha's fragility. Also, being a female and soaked in the water with complicated machine might also contribute to emphasizing the fragility as well.

Furthermore, her behavior like a baby strengthens Agatha's impression to be fragile and needing to be protected. In most of the movie, she does not say long sentences, and instead says a few only important words. This shows how she lacks ability to communicate, just like a baby or kids who can't express themselves well.

She also shows some other behavior in common with a baby. She suddenly screams extremely loud like a crying baby ignoring any surrounding situation. When she cries she puts a lot of power in her facial muscle to look like a new born baby. Moreover, she can not walk alone and needs to be supported by someone else. This is another characteristics of a fragile and delicate, baby.
